Eduino S. Escobar
PAWTUCKET - Eduino S. Escobar, 87, passed away January 22nd. He was the husband of the late Adelina (Pires) Escobar. Born in Cedros, Fayal, Azores, he came to the United States in 1969 and was employed as a maintenance man at Elizabeth Webbing Company. He was the son of the late Jose Silveira de Escobar and Filomena Emilia de Lacerda.
He is survived by his children: Adelina (Eduardo) Mendonca with whom he resided in Pawtucket, Joseph Escobar of Johnston, Filomena (Carlos) Rosa of Pawtucket, Anthony (Karen) Escobar of Coventry, Ana (Anthony) Ferreira of East Providence, Manuela (Gregory) Flamand of Cumberland and Richard (Joy) Escobar of Pawtucket. He was the grand- father of five: Cristina Silvestre, Stephanie Mendonca, Alyssa Escobar, Bryanna Balmer and Rachel Flamand. He was the great grandfather of two: Jacob and Morgan Silvestre. He is survived by two brothers and three sisters.
The funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:00 AM from the DARLINGTON MORTUARY OF L. HEROUX & SON, 1042 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Leo the Great Church (Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish) 699 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Wednesday (Jan. 25) from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, 222 Richmond Street, Providence, RI would be appreciated.
