PAWTUCKET - Dorothy Winstanley, 81, of Pawtucket died August 25, 2011. She was born in Pawtucket a daughter of the late Harold and Ellen (Howard) Winstanley. She had lived most of her life in North Providence. She was employed by Sarah Coventry, Colonial Landry and Rowe Vending Machine Co. She was a member of Smithfield Avenue Congregational Church for 65 years, former church clerk, former deaconess, missionary board, flower committee, girls service club, willing workers and principal of the primary dept. She taught in the Sunday school for over 35 years. Member of The Church Women United and Pawtucket Community Players. She is survived by 4 sisters Catherine Winstanley of Pawtucket, Ellen Martin of Warwick, Ann Rodriguez of Beaverton, OR and Marjorie Tingle of Warwick. 1 brother Harold Winstanley Jr. of Cranston. Many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 10am in the Merrick R. Williams Funeral Home 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket. Calling hours Monday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
