PAWTUCKET - Dorothy C. (Troufield) Masse, 86, of Saratoga Ave. died Wednesday at Epoch @ Blackstone, Providence. She was the wife of the late Donald J. Masse.
Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late George L. and Caroline (Washburn) Troufield and had lived in Pawtucket all her life.
She worked for a number of years at the St. Raphael's Academy Rectory. She was a member of the Submarine Veterans, Massachusetts Chapter for over 36 years. Dorothy was active in two camping associations, the NCHA, and NAFCA.She was a member of the St. Teresa Knitting Club and St. Teresa's Seniors.
She is survived by three sons, Donald J., Jr. and his wife Susan of South Attleboro, Robert and his wife Beth of Rehoboth, and Alan and his wife Kathleen of Windsor, CT., one brother, Leonard Troufield of Attleboro, five grandchildren, Benjamin, Emma, Terrence, Jessica and Alan, Jr. and three great grandchildren, Clarissa, Terry, Jr. and Dylan. She was the sister of the late G. Lester Jr., Frank, Elmer, Robert and Ronald Troufield, Esther Moore and Grace Masse.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9 AM from the CHEETHAM MORTUARY, INC., 1012 Newport Ave., Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Teresa Church, 358 Newport Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8PM.
