Doris M. Emond
NORTH ATTLEBORO - Doris M. Emond, 88, of North Washington Street, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2013 in the Madonna Manor Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Albert J. Emond who passed away in 1984.
Born in Pawtucket, RI on Sept. 9, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Mary Godin.
Doris spent her youth in Pawtucket and was a graduate of Cumberland High School. She retired after 25 years from Texas Instruments as an assembler. She enjoyed line dancing, water aerobics and traveling with friends.
She is survived by eight children, Albert Emond of Cumberland, Mary Harris of Attleboro, Dennis Emond of Florida, Linda Cockerham and Edward Emond both of Pawtucket, Gary Emond of Attleboro, Doreen Emond of Mansfield and Kenneth Emond of Florida; a sister, Irene Mercer of Cumberland; 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
She is the sister of the late Edward Godin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 from 5-8 p.m. in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro.
A private funeral service will he held with burial to take place in the Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.
