Dennis T. Golda
PAWTUCKET - Dennis T. Golda, 90, of Columbine Avenue passed away Friday October 11, 2013 at the Oakhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pawtucket. He was the beloved husband of the late Sophie M. (Szumilo) Golda.
Born in Pawtucket he was a son of the late Stanley and Wanda (Ciolkosz) Golda. He was a life long resident of Pawtucket.
Before retiring Dennis was a Television Repairman for Lutz Television of Pawtucket for 40 years.
He was a WWII Army Veteran serving as a Corporal with the 328th Army Air Force in Europe. He was the Commander of the Fierlit-Korzen A.L. Post #79 of Central Falls and also held Office in both the National and State level of the American Legion. He was also a Trustee of St. Josephs Church Central Falls.
Mr. Golda is survived by two loving daughters, Carolyn Palo and her husband Robert of Pawtucket and Barbara Pacheco of Rehoboth and her companion Paul Martens, two devoted grandchildren, Tiffany Pacheco and Timothy Pacheco IV both of Rehoboth, nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Raymond E. Golda.
His funeral with Military Honors will be held Tuesday October 15, 2013 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street Central Falls with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Josephs Church 391 High Street Central Falls at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are welcome to attend. CALLING HOURS MONDAY FROM 4:00 PM TO 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers Memorial Donations in Mr. Golda's Memory to the Rhode Island Veterans Home Activities Fund 480 Metacom Avenue Bristol, RI 02809 would be greatly appreciated. Burial will be in Mt. St. Marys Cemetery, East Providence.
