PAWTUCKET - Daniel daSilveira, 74 of Pawtucket died Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the husband of Matilda "Tillie" (Albuquerque) daSilveira and they had been married for 50 years. Born in Fial-Cedros, Azores he was the son of the late Antonio and Ana (Mendonca) Silveira. Daniel came to the US in 1958 and settled in Pawtucket.
Daniel was a member of the Holy Ghost Brotherhood of Charity in East Providence, the Portuguese Continental Union, Lodge 49, Pawtucket and a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
Beside his wife Daniel is survived by two sons, Daniel G. daSilveira and his wife Robin of North Attleboro, MA and Antonio daSilveira and his wife Elizabeth of Seymour, TN; a brother, Antonio Silveira of Pawtucket and a granddaughter, Olivia Rose daSilveira of Seymour Tennessee.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday, 8:30 a.m. from the LACHAPELLE FUNERAL HOME, 643 Main Street, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church 103 Pine Street, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. Daniels life will be celebrated with calling hours on Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket.
