CUMBERLAND â€” The start of a new school year begins tomorrow with students in pre-kindergarten through Grade 9 returning to classes, followed by students in Grades 10-12 on Thursday.
Throughout the summer, the School Committee, School Superintendent Philip D. Thornton and the school administration and staff have been planning several new programs and initiatives for the upcoming year, including full-day kindergarten and a new district-wide grading policy.
There will also be some new faces on the administration team this year, including new Assistant School Superintendent Robert Mitchell, Cumberland High School Principal Alan Tenreiro, B.F. Norton School Principal Antonio DiManna, and Human Resources Supervisor Tina Fogell.
