PAWTUCKET - Constance (Bilodeau) McKenna, born November 18, 1925, passed away peacefully at her home on Norfolk Avenue on 8 June 2011, surrounded by family. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Leo McKenna; her 6 children: Deborah Hanna and her husband Alan of Andover NH; Dr. Sean J. McKenna and his wife Wendy Heckman of Salem NH; Tod McKenna and his wife Maria of Derry NH; Matthew McKenna and his wife Laurel of Exeter RI; Lisette Jenkins and her husband Ian of Pawtucket RI; and LeeAnn Sterling and her husband Dan of Dundee OR; her sisters Bertha Dolan of Escondido CA; and Estelle Cayer of Pawtucket RI; 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Pawtucket RI, the oldest daughter of the late Annette and Adelard Bilodeau and sister of the late Vivian Dery.
Constance was a gifted coloratura soprano and performed in local theater productions; she also sang with a group at the Holiday Inn for many years. She was a creative cook and cake decorator, and she had a deep passion for life which was apparent in everything she chose to do. But her deepest passion was her family. She will be profoundly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday 11 June 2011, 12 pm at St. Cecilia's Church in Pawtucket Rhode Island.
