PAWTUCKET- Claire (Schenick) Mulholland, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 5, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late William B. Mulholland.
Born in Providence to Joseph and Edythe (Lukuskey) Schenick, Claire lived in Pawtucket most of her life, retiring after 25 years of working at Tolman High School as an Executive Assistant for the Pawtucket School Department. She was also a longtime Communicant at St. Teresa's Church and involved in the Dusza Almeida VFW Post 2339 Woman's Auxiliary.
Claire's life was truly blessed and her memory will live on in the hearts of her family.
She was the devoted and loving mother of her children, William Mulholland of Pawtucket, Edythe Cerbo and her husband Steven of Warren and Sharon McDonnell and her husband Thomas of Warwick. Claire was the beloved grandmother to her six grandchildren, Joshua, Meghan, Aaron, Mekahla McDonnell and William and Abby Mulholland, the adoring great-grandmother to Aiden, Liam and Rachel Charlie.
Claire also leaves her brother, Fr. Joseph Schenick and three nieces. She is predeceased by her sister, Pauline Bell.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9:00 AM from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00AM to which relatives and friends are invited. Claire has asked that in celebrating her life, please wear a splash of color today to help us fulfill her wish.
Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Monday, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Meals on Wheels, 70 Bath Street, Providence, RI 02908 in Claire's name. For online condolences and directions please
