PAWTUCKET â€” A 22-year-old city man wanted as a suspect in a gas station robbery last month was arrested Wednesday after he turned himself in to Pawtucket Police detectives.
According to Pawtucket Police, on Dec. 17, a robbery occurred at the Sunoco gas station located at 35 Cedar St. in Pawtucket. The suspect presented a note to the clerk demanding cash. The clerk opened the register and gave cash to the suspect.
Following an investigation by detectives, the suspect was identified as Luis Flores, of Mulberry Street., and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. On Jan. 11, Flores was arrested by Providence and Pawtucket detectives in Providence. Police said Flores was aware of the warrant and had contacted Pawtucket Police detectives in order to turn himself in.
Flores was brought to District Court in Providence on Jan. 12 and was arraigned on a charge of second degree robbery. Bail was set at $5,000 with surety.
