Christina R. Petrarca
PAWTUCKET- Christina R. "Chris" Petrarca, of, died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late James A. Petrarca Sr.
Mrs. Petrarca was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Margaret A. Ma (Morgan) Madsen and Ola B. Madsen. She was a Pawtucket resident all of her life.
She worked at the family restaurant, Margaret's Ice Cream Parlor, in Pawtucket for many years. She later worked at L.G.Balfour Co. and the State of Rhode Island.
Mrs. Petrarca was a member of the Darlington Congregational Church all of her life as well as a member of the Eastern Star, Seekonk Chapter No.209 and the Balfour Gold Dusters.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda C. Riendeau of Bristol, her son in law Robert
Riendeau in East Providence, a son James A. Petrarca Jr. and his wife Robin of Pawtucket, her grandchildren, Jake and Jeffrey Petrarca and Russell and Trisha Riendeau, and one great granddaughter Cora Petrarca. She also had several nieces and nephews.
There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Petrarca Wednesday, February 22, at 10:00 a.m. in the Darlington Congregational Church, Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Her burial will be in Seekonk Cemetery. The calling hours will be Tuesday 4-7 p.m. in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited.
