Charles N. Bouris
PROVIDENCE - Bouris, Charles N. "Dino", 91, of Providence, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2013 at Trinity Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, in Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Beatrice (Manoian) Bouris.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Helen (Bichikas) Bouris
Charles worked as a self-employed Baker for many years, delivering baked goods to local businesses and apartment communities for the elderly. He also served his country proudly in the United States Navy, during World War II.
Mr. Bouris was an avid lover of classical music and animals.
He leaves three sisters, Ursula Michalopoulos, Mary Barone, and Eve Gouras. Charles was predeceased by his sister Alice, and his brothers, George, James, Angelo, John, Steve, and Peter; his two nieces, who cared for him, Maryann Osediacz (Joseph), and Dorothy Gessner (William). He also leaves behind several other nieces and nephews.
Charles' funeral with visitation will begin on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 9:00 am, in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, with a funeral service at 10:30 am. Burial with military honors will follow in North Burial Ground, corner of Branch and North Main Street, Providence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his memory can be made to the Providence Animal Rescue League, 34 Elbow Street, Providence, RI 02903 or Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860.
