LINCOLN â€” At 8:20 a.m. Saturday, the State Police Dive Team recovered the body of a missing teenager in the Old Jointa Lock Quarry off Rte 246, the Old Louisquisset Pike, according to a press release from the Lincoln Police Department.
The body was located in 75 feet of water and is that of an 18-year-old male from Central Falls, police said.
At the request of the victimâ€™s family, the teenâ€™s name is being withheld until out-of-state relatives are notified. The body has been turned over to the state Medical Examinerâ€™s officer, according to police.
Lincoln Police continue to investigate the incident, but it appears to have been a tragic accident, according to Capt. Raymond Bousquet.
