Celebrating 80 years of the Stanleyburger

CENTRAL FALLS — While much may have changed about Central Falls in the past 80 years, a Dexter Street restaurant and its most famous menu item remain, blessedly, as fixtures in the bustling city. The “Stanleyburger,” a classic hamburger with trademark grilled onions and pickles on a soft bun, is still satisfying longtime fans and winning over new ones in the small eatery by the same name.
This year, Stanley's Famous Hamburgers, at 535 Dexter St., is celebrating its 80th anniversary. To mark the occasion and say “thank-you” to its customers, the restaurant will be offering the original Stanleyburger for 80 cents all day Saturday.
