Carol L. Choches-O'Brien
SOUTH KINGSTOWN - A MEMORIAL RECEPTION "Carol's Smile" was held Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the South Kingstown Land Trust, Wakefield, RI for Carol L. Choches-O'Brien who passed away August 25 at home.
Born August 24, 1954 and raised in Pawtucket, a cherished daughter of Lillian M. and the late Walter S. Choches. She was the beloved wife of 36 years to Stephen B. O'Brien.
Besides her husband and mother she leaves her devoted son Shaun O'Brien and his partner Laurie Schafer of Hawaii, her sister Nancy L. Brusby and her husband Dave of Pennsylvania, two sisters-in-law, Donna Gagnon of Nevada and Dorothy Del Signore of Providence, many nieces, nephews, cousins and her faithful dog Addy. Carol's passion was running and she participated in many events for charitable causes for many years.
Carol Graduated from Tolman High School and Rhode Island College.
Carol was a Pawtucket school teacher for 32 years before retiring. After her retirement she worked part time in the Cross Mills Public Library in Charleston.
Carol will be remembered lovingly by so many children in whose lives she played a contributing part.
Participating in the reception were her brother -in-law, Pastor Dave conducting the sermon accompanied by her sister Nancy soloist and friends from the New York Philharmonic Orchestra.
Carol's wishes were that her Memorial reflect not on sadness but on good remembrances of happy smiles.
