Beulah C. Anderson
PAWTUCKET - Beulah C. Anderson, 97, a retired secretary and licensed practical nurse died Saturday October 23, 2010. She was a resident of the United Methodist Retirement Center.
Beulah was the wife of the late Russell Anderson. They had been married for sixty-seven years. She was the daughter of the late Arthur William and Anna Jane Caldwell, and was born in Providence, but lived in Pawtucket for most of her life. She moved to East Providence in 1996.
Beulah was a member of Park Place Congregational Church for almost seventy years. She belonged to the Harley Circle and Women's Guild, and was one of the first Brownie Troop leaders. She and her husband worked on all boards and committees of their church. They also had the youth group and were Deacons of the church.
Mrs. Anderson graduated from the Rhode Island School of Practical Nursing and was a volunteer for the Navy Community Support Service, the Blood Bank, and the Red Cross. She volunteered for the Memorial Hospital of R.I. for many years and was a private nurse for the late Mrs. William Harty.
She was loved by all her friends. Beulah had a loving and giving heart; she loved to laugh, had incredible energy, and gave generously to those things that meant a great deal to her.
Beulah was a sixty-five year member of the Queen Esther Chapter #2 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Since 1989 she has been a member of the Pawtucket Congregational Church.
She leaves her three godchildren, Lynn Usher of Pawtucket, Carl Rupprecht and Sally Vinroot, both of Virginia.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11am at BELLOWS-FALSO FUNERAL CHAPEL 160 River Rd. Lincoln. Burial will be in Moshassuck Cemetery, Central Falls. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
