Bertrand L. Bourget
LEESBURG, FL. - Bertrand Louis Bourget, passed away at his home in Leesburg, Florida on June 1st at the age of 86. Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island he served in the United States Navy during World War II.
He owned and operated Colonial Tree and Prestige Tree Services, servicing many private and municipal landscaping needs in the state of Rhode Island. Later, he and his wife operated the Inn at Brevard, a bed and breakfast inn in Western North Carolina. Bertrand was a member of Eckankar and attended Unity Church in Leesburg, Florida, where he settled in retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Eileen Bourget, sisters Rita, Connie, Jeanne and Sr. Louis Gabrielle, as well as brothers Roger and Gilbert all from Rhode Island. He is also survived by his stepsons, Arthur and Bob Buteau and Peter and Paul O'Neill, along with several nieces and nephews.
A military memorial service will be held at the Plantation Memorial Park in Leesburg, Florida on Friday, June 28. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Corner Stone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Road in Tavares, Florida.
