PAWTUCKET â€” So far, there has been a mixed bag of wins and losses in labor arbitration decisions between the city and municipal employees under the administration of Mayor Donald Grebien.
City Councilor Lorenzo Tetreault had asked the city's law department to provide him with a summary of all labor arbitration decisions rendered during the tenure of the Grebien Administration. He made the request out of concern over the administration's recent attempt to pass an ordinance that would eliminate the current practice of paying municipal employees a $3,000 stipend for not participating in the city's health insurance and dental plan.
