PAWTUCKET - Antonio Henriques, 89 of Rock Avenue, Pawtucket passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Belmira (Machado) Henriques.
Born in Sandomil-Seia, Portugal, he was the son of the late Joao and Emilia (de Jesus) Henriques.
He came to this country in 1976 settling in Pawtucket.
Mr. Henriques was employed as a maintenance mechanic for the Conrad Jarvis Co. of Pawtucket for 20 years, retiring in 1990.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
He leaves two sons, Rui M. Henriques of Pawtucket, and Jose A. Tony M. Henriques of Cumberland; one daughter, Emily Caldeira of Rehoboth, MA; three grandchildren, Rui, Sandra and Katelyn; and three great-grandchildren, Nathan, Jake and Sadie. He was the grandfather of the late Derek Henriques.
A celebration of his life will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in the Our Lady of Fatima Church, Fatima Drive, Cumberland. Burial will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Monday, from 4 to 8 PM.
