PAWTUCKET - Anthony J. Oleska, 84, of Pawtucket, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010. He was the husband of Norma (Temple) Oleska. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Frank and Sophie (Nowak) Oleska. Mr. Oleska was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War. In World War II he served aboard the destroyer, USS McNulty. In the Korean War he served aboard the Aircraft Carrier, USS Rendover. He had worked for Collyer Wire for many years before retiring. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Carla Oleska of Easthampton, MA, and Deborah Lalime of Pascoag, three sisters, Bertha Szlashta of Lincoln, Pauline Sullivan of Virginia, and Helen Corredora of Cumberland, two grandchildren, Damon and Danielle Lalime, and two great grandchildren, Morgan and Madison Lalime. He was the brother of the late Josephine Cluin, Lucy Kwolek, and Catherine Aylward. Visiting hours will be held Sunday, November 21, 2010 from 2-5pm with a Celebration of his Life at 4pm in the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. The funeral and burial will be private.
