PAWTUCKET - Anna Lopes, 90, of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013. She was the wife of the late Fernando Lopes. Born in Lisbon, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Abraham and Leopoldina (DaLomba) DaSilva. Mrs. Lopes lived most of her life in Pawtucket. She worked for Texas Instruments for many years before retiring in 1993.
She is survived by three sons, Manny Silva, Hildo and Richard Lopes, two daughters, Olga Jasionis and Linda Drywa, a sister, Marion Manosh, and eleven grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Maria Jensen, Gary, Donna and Leopoldina Lopes. She was the sister of the late Joseph and Abraham Silva, Diah DaLomba and Lidia Valles.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a service at 10am in Darlington Congregational Church, 685 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8pm in the funeral home.
