PAWTUCKET - Anna "Rita" Hosey, 91, a lifelong resident of Pawtucket died July 4, 2011. For the past nine years she resided at Evergreen House Health Center of East Providence where she received loving care. She was the wife of the late William P. Hosey.
Anna was born in Pawtucket the daughter of the late John and Mary (Rogers) Goodwin.
Mrs. Hosey was a longtime Communicant and member of St. Joseph's Church in Pawtucket where she was a past president of the Mother's Club and an active supporter for The White Sisters.
Anna leaves a daughter, Margaret Lind and her husband Leo of Concord, NH, sons, John Hosey and his wife Diana of Rumford, Kevin Hosey and his wife Susan of Pawtucket, five grand-children, Lynn Karalis of Pawtucket, Lt. Cmd. Michael Hosey, U.S.C.G., of New York City, Elizabeth Lind of New York City, Kathleen Berardi of Needham, MA, Alyson Roslonek of Rumford and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by Sister Mary Ann Hosey, R.S.M., who was a lifelong friend and family member.
She was predeceased by her grandson Robert Lind.
Mrs. Hosey's funeral service will be held Saturday at 9:00am in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph's Church, Walcott Street, Pawtucket at 10:00 am to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. Calling hours are Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the funeral home.
