Anna B. Bricault
CUMBERLAND - Anna B. (McPhillips) Bricault, 87 of England Street, passed away Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Unit, Providence. She was the wife of Joseph "Norman" Bricault, and they had been married for the past 65 years.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Wilde) McPhillips She resided in Cumberland for the past 64 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.
Mrs. Bricault was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Pawtucket Memorial Hospital for 44 years, retiring in 1989.
She was a communicant of St. Patrick Church. She was an avid sports fan, loved to travel to Florida, but most of all enjoyed time spent with her family.
Besides her beloved husband, she leaves her children, Christine A. Larocque and her husband Edward, James N. Bricault and his wife Elaine of Bowling Green, FL, and Richard E. Bricault of Cumberalnd; her siblings, Edward McPhillips of Narragansett, Sister Mary Agnes (Jean Louise McPhillips) of Colorado, and William McPhillips of Pawtucket; three grandchildren, Michelle Gaynor and her husband Ronald, Edward Larocque and his wife Andrea, and Matthew Larocque; two great-grandchildren, Ashley and Ronald Gaynor; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph McPhillips, Catherine Surowiec, Mary Mularz, Patricia Caron, John McPhillips and Dolores McPhillips.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday at 8AM from the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Rt. 122, Cumberland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 AM in St. Patrick Church, Broad Street, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting Hours will be held Sunday from 4 to 8 PM.
