LINCOLN - Ann Theresa "Terri" (Martin) Harris, 81, of Parker Street died Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Francis A. Martin, Jr., a former state representative from the City of Pawtucket, and the late Charles C. Harris.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, a daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Grennan) Cooney, she had lived in Pawtucket for most of her life before moving to Lincoln in 1995.
Mrs. Harris was a field investigator in the Education Unit of the R.I. Department of Labor & Training for 22 years, retiring in 1997.
She is survived by three daughters, Nanci Martin of Providence; Meg Shanley and her husband, Frank of East Providence and Linda E. Martin and her daughters, Tess and Mia Santorelli of Waltham, MA; four sons, Daniel E. "Ned" Martin and his wife, Patricia, and their children, Laura and Gus of Norwood, MA; James B. Martin; William G. Martin, and his wife, Karen, and their children, Brianna, Stephanie, Jack, Charles and Josh, all of Lincoln; and Timothy S. Martin and his wife, Margaret, and their children, Ned and Andi of Plymouth, MA; her grandsons, Brian and Samuel Martin, her brother, Daniel Cooney of Pacific Grove, CA; and her brother-in-law, Edward Garrahy of Narragansett; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Francis A. "Marty" Martin and Ann Martin, and the sister of the late Peg Garrahy.
Her funeral will be held THURSDAY, JUNE 6 at 8:45 A.M. from BELLOWS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 160 River Road, Lincoln with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. in St. Jude's Church, 301 Front Street, Lincoln. Burial will be in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket.
