CUMBERLAND - Anita Valliere died on December 2 under the loving care of her sister Yvonne and husband Robert at their home in Coventry, RI after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at Notre Dame Cemetery, 359 Daggett Ave., Pawtucket, RI at 10:00 AM on Thursday, December 9. A reception will immediately follow at Cantina DiMarco, 405 Mendon Rd., Cumberland.
Anita was born on August 6, 1930 in Central Falls, RI to Joseph and Cecile Dubois, one of thirteen children, and lived in Cumberland most of her life. She served as a volunteer for a number of community causes and was heralded for her commitment and generosity. She was a bingo enthusiast.
For fifty-four years she was the devoted wife of Roland Valliere, until his death in 2008. They had one child.
Mrs. Valliere is survived by her son Roland and wife Milisa and their children Rory and Kalyn, along with sisters Yvonne, Doris, Rosemarie and Lillian and brothers Leo, Ronald, Bruce and Philip.
