PAWTUCKET — The winners of the 14th annual City of Pawtucket Photo Contest were announced at the Blackstone Valley Visitors Center on Saturday.
This year's theme was “All in A Day's Work,” and the winning entries reflected the different interpretations that each photographer had of that idea.
The photographs will be reprinted on a 2013 City of Pawtucket calendar that will be published by the city administration.
The “Mayor's Choice Award,” submitted by A. Sampson of Pawtucket, was titled “East Meets West in Pawtucket” and depicts a slice of the colorful, bustling construction site of the I-95 Pawtucket River Bridge. The favorite photo of Mayor Donald Grebien, which came with a $100 cash prize, will be featured as the cover of the 2013 City of Pawtucket calendar.
