Alfreda H. Oziemblewski
PAWTUCKET - Alfreda H. Oziemblewski (Gromkiewicz) 93, of Hatfield Street, Pawtucket, a lifelong resident of Central Falls and Pawtucket, died Tuesday January 28, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket, after a short illness. She was the widow of Boleslaw E. Oziemblewski.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Henry and Helen (Gabis) Gromkiewicz.
Before retiring 1982, she was a production supervisor for the former Fram Corp. of East Providence.
She was a communicant of Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish, Pawtucket, and a member of its senior citizens group. She was also a member of the senior citizens group of St. Marys Church, Seekonk, and AmVets Auxiliary Post 8, Central Falls. She was a bowler for more than 40 years, and was active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
She is survived by three children, William Oziemblewski of Warwick, Nancy Roberts of Pawtucket and Donna Militello of Narragansett; a sister Rita Kozinski of South Attleboro, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Her funeral will be held Saturday February 1, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. from the Karol A. Romenski & Sons Funeral Home 342 High Street, Central Falls, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial In Blessed Pope John II Parish (St. Leo The Great Church) 697 Central Avenue, Pawtucket, at 10:00 a.m. Visiting hours Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Daggett Avenue, Pawtucket.
