Alexander H. Messier
PAWTUCKET - Alexander H. Messier, 87, of Pawtucket, passed away Friday, January 20, 2012. He was the husband of Geraldine (Moseley) Messier. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alexander and Emily (Garreau) Messier. Mr. Messier was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He was a navy veteran of World War II.
He was a sales representative for Ford Aluminum Products for many years, retiring in 1991. He later worked as a starter at Stone E. Lea Golf Course for over twenty years.
Besides his wife, he is survived by five sons, Michael, Stephen, Robert, Alexander, and Mark Messier; thirteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Therese Lebeuf and twin brother of the late George Messier.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9:30AM from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Burial will be private. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Thursday, 4-7pm in the funeral home.
