Albert A. Montminy, Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Albert A. Montminy, Sr. of Pawtucket died January 25, 2012 at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Dorothy D. (Mahoney) Montminy. They had been married for over 30 years.
He was a member of the United States Marine Corps., serving in the Korean War.
Mr. Montminy was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Abraham and Rose Montminy. He was employed by Broudere Windows for many years before he retired in 1991.
Besides his wife Dorothy, Mr. Montminy is survived by his children: Albert A. Montminy, Jr. of Attleboro, MA, Mark Montminy of Attleboro, MA, Jason Montminy of Minnesota, Rita Lancaster of North Carolina, Linda Dunlap of Attleboro, MA and Sandra Heywood of Portsmouth, RI. He also leaves his brothers Leo Montminy of Cumberland, RI, Roland Montminy of Syracuse, NY, Louie Montminy of New Hampshire, his sister Claire Montaugh of Portsmouth, RI and several grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Helen Norbert.
The funeral for Mr. Montminy will be Saturday, January 28th, at 9:00 a.m. from the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Pine Street, Pawtucket at 10:00 a.m. The burial will be with full military honors in St. Mary's Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours for Mr. Montminy will be Friday from 4-7 PM in the funeral home.
