Albert L. Bessette
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Albert L. Bessette, 90, of North Providence and Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, October 4, 2013. He was the beloved husband of the late Claire A. (Cayer) Bessette. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late George H. and Margaret L. (Thurber) Bessette.
Albert was a World War II U.S. Army Air Corps veteran. He was employed by Marshall Contractors, Inc., Rumford and Fluor Global Engineering Construction Company until retiring ten years ago. Albert was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America Local 94, Warwick; member of the D.A.V. and a life member of the Attleboro Lodge of Elks 1014, Attleboro.
He leaves a daughter, Suzanne Deneault of North Providence; a son, Paul A. Bessette of Kingston, RI; grandchildren, Adam F. and Emilie C. Deneault both of North Providence and nieces and nephews. He was the father-in-law of the late Francis A. Deneault and the brother of the late Dorothy M. Boudreau, George A. and Edmund "Ted" Bessette.
His funeral with Military Honors will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from WILLIAM W. TRIPP Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, Coyle Drive, Seekonk. Interment will follow at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence. VISITATION will be Thursday 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish, 385 Central Ave., Seekonk, MA 02771 would be appreciated. TRIPPFUNERALHOME.com
