Lincoln's Saine signs with Boston College football team

LINCOLN –National Signing Day 2014 in college football circles is well underway this morning and we have some news concerning a local prospect to pass along.

Oseh-Lie Saine, a 2013 graduate of Lincoln High School, has officially joined the Boston College football team. The news was announced via Twitter under @BCFootballNews: “Osei-Lie Saine joins the BC football team! The DL earned all-Rhode Island 1st-team honors at Lincoln HS.”

BC lists Saine as a defensive end who measures out at 6-foot-4, 265 pounds. He played a post-graduate year at Worcester Academy this past autumn.

St. Raphael edges Scituate, 44-38, stays unbeaten in D-II

PAWTUCKET – Based on his court-side demeanor late in his squad’s intense Division II tussle with North stalwart Scituate High on Tuesday night, St. Raphael Academy head coach Fred Saunders seemed both miffed and anxious at his girls’ turnovers and lack of offense.

Once the Saints had clinched a solid 44-38 crossover victory over the Spartans, however, he slowly became more gregarious.
