PAWTUCKET. Elizabeth Barney-Robidou, 78, formerly of Maynard St. Passed away Friday after an illness. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy (Bedard) Goyette. She was a lifelong resident of the city and had been employed at the former Clover Bead for several years.
S. Kingstown - Thomas S. Poniatowski, 54, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 8, 2012. Son of Marion E. (Dyer) Poniatowski and the late Stanley F. Poniatowski. He was a graduate of St. Raphael Academy and attended CCRI. Besides his loving mother, he is survived by one sister Katherine P. Jacques and her husband Steven and family of Needham, Ma., two brothers Stephen F. Poniatowski and his wife Nancy and family of Rockville, RI and James J. Poniatowski of Charlestown,RI.
ATTLEBORO, MA- Hazeldean Cheetham, 83, of Fairway Drive died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro, MA. She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Cheetham.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Albert and Doris (Wilson) Hill, she had lived in Pawtucket for most of her life before moving to Attleboro 22 years ago.
Mrs. Cheetham was a secretary in the Pawtucket School Department before retiring.
Florence M. Dumais
PAWTUCKET- Florence M. Dumais 1912-2012, died peacefully, in her 100th year, at the Grandview Nursing Home on March 5, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late Emilio and Laetitia (Baker) Dumais and the sister of the late William and Louis.
Florence worked at the Concordia Mfg. Co. for 45 years as bookkeeper and Asst. Treasurer before retirement in 1974.
Veda M. Butler
PAWTUCKET: Veda M. Butler, 80, passed March 4th 2012. She was born in Charles Town West Virginia and resided in Pawtucket, RI.
She is survived by a daughter, Jeanette Butler of Boston, 2 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. She was mother of the late Miguel Butler and Danett M. Butler.

Wayne F. Johnson
PAWTUCKET- Wayne F. Johnson, 57, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012. He was the husband of Donna M. (Gill) Johnson.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of Loretta G. (Gaouette) Johnson of Pawtucket and the late Howard D. Johnson.
Wayne was a Vietnam Era U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He was employed as a supervisor in the Housekeeping Department at the VA Medical Center, Providence, for over ten years until retiring last year.
Mary A. Nolin
LINCOLN- Mary A. "Aunt Mary" Nolin, 97, died March 2, 2012 after a short illness.
Born and raised in Lincoln, she was a beloved daughter of the late Charles and Mary (McGuinniss) Nolin.
Miss Nolin enjoyed her family and work. She was the secretary and treasurer of the former Lumb Motors of Pawtucket retiring in 1984. Mary devoted herself to her family and St. Jude's Church of Lincoln.
She was a graduate of Holy Trinity School and graduated from high school at age 15 from St. Xavier Academy.
She was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know and love her.
Joan E. Shea
RUMFORD- Joan E. Shea, 77, of Dalton Street, Rumford died Tuesday, March 6, 2012. She was the wife of John Shea to whom she married on Thanksgiving Day 58 years ago.
Mrs. Shea was born in Phillipsdale RI, the daughter of the late Ralph and Beatrice (Levesque) Wilson.
She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Rumford, and an avid New England Patriots fan.
Joan was a customer service representative for the former Old Colony Bank then Bank of New England for over twenty five years.
Kenneth G. Betters
CAPE CORAL, FLORIDA- Kenneth G. Betters passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2012 in Florida. He was the husband and best friend for 45 years of Melodie (Blain) Betters.
He is preceded in death by his parents George and Florence (Bolduc) Betters.
He was born in Pawtucket, RI and lived in Chepachet for 30 years before moving to Florida.
Frederick P. Short
LINCOLN- Short, Frederick P., 66, of School Street, Lincoln died Tuesday February 28 at Florida Hospital Tampa.
He was born in Pawtucket, son of the late Frederick and Ada (Inglis) Short.
Fred was a graduate of Pawtucket West and served his country as a USA Ranger combat veteran in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He was an active member in the Vietnam Veterans of America in Rhode Island and local Chapter 818. Fred is survived by his sister Dorothy and two sons Joshua and Zachary.
James V. Murphy
LINCOLN- Murphy, James V. 79, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully Monday March 5th, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy T (Grimley) Murphy. They were happily married for more than 52 years.
Born in Providence RI, he was the son of the late James V. and Jane P. (ONeil) Murphy.
Mr. Murphy was a lifelong resident of the Cumberland Lincoln area. He graduated St. Raphael Academy in 1950. He served honorably in the US Air Force as a Staff Sergeant during the Korean War. He then attended and received a degree from Bryant College.
CUMBERLAND- Louise (Ferreira) Correia, 94, of One Mendon Road and formerly High Street, passed away Monday at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of Silverio Correia.
Born in Fall River, MA, she was the daughter of the late Armindo and Emilia Ferreira. She resided in Cumberland most of her life.
Mrs. Correia was employed as a Machine Operator for the Sydney Brumenthal Company for many years.
Louise loved to make plastic crafts for her great-grandchildren. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
Donna J. Dixon
CRANSTON- Dixon, Donna J., 62, of 16 Parkside Circle, Cranston died Sunday, March 4, 2012.
She was the wife of the late James Dixon.
She was born in Rochester, New Hampshire, the daughter of Valmore L. and Rita Y. (Dubois) Guilmette.
Francis A. Dugan
PAWTUCKET- Francis A. Dugan, of Kenyon Avenue, Pawtucket died February 29, 2012.
Mr. Dugan was born in Chelsea MA, the son of Theresa Dugan. He was an auto mechanic for many years before he retired due to illness.
Mr. Dugan is survived by his children, Diana L. Dugan of Malden MA, Francis Dugan and Robert Dugan.
There will be a service for Mr. Dugan Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Ressurection Cemetery Chapel, West Wrentham Road, Cumberland.

CUMBERLAND- Silvina Costa, 73, of Titus Street, passed away Friday in the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. She was the wife of Jose L. Costa and they had been married for 46 years.
Born in Insua, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Guelhermina (Claro) Maneca. She moved to this country in 1979, settling in Cumberland.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
Besides her husband, she leaves one son, Antonio J. Costa and his wife Bonnie of Central Falls, one daughter, Rosario Harvey and her husband James
Carol Ann Schora
CUMBERLAND- Carol Ann Schora, 69, of Dexter Rock Road, Lincoln, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Sunday in the Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert H. Schora.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Matthew and Carrie (Perolli) Bara. She resided in Lincoln for the past nine years, previously residing in Cumberland for most of her life.
Mrs. Schora was a Certified Nursing Assistant for the Grandview Center, Cumberland for over 20 years, retiring in 2005. She also was employed at Atria Place, Lincoln.
Vincent P. O'Neill

PAWTUCKET- Vincent P. O'Neill, 83, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully Friday, March 2, 2012 surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Nunez) O'Neill. They were happily married for fifty seven years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Crane) O'Neill.
Mr. O'Neill was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. He graduated from Saint Raphael Academy in 1946. He then graduated from New England Institute of Anatomy and Embalming in 1951.
Antonio Gaspar Lopes
CUMBERLAND- Antonio Gaspar Lopes, age 50, of High Street, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the Home and Hospice Care of RI Inpatient Unit, Providence. He was the husband of Ana (Figueiredo) Lopes, and they had been married for 31 years.
Born in Serta, Portugal, he was the son of the late Amaro and Maria de Lurdes (Gaspar) Lopes. He came to this country in 1979, settling in Cumberland.
Mr. Lopes was the owner of Fonseca Construction Company for ten years, and previously the owner of the New England Caf for five years.
Mary T. Roy
PAWTUCKET- Mary T. (Salhany) Roy, 97, passed into the Hands of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, February 29, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. The wife of the late Valrian A. Roy (8/25/77).
She was a daughter of the late Elias and Helen (Barakat) Salhany.
Klenn R. Kazmierski
PAWTUCKET- Klenn R. Kazmierski, 75, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 1, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Serafina (Ruggiero) Kazmierski for twenty years.
Born in Utica, New York, a son of the late Zygmund Kazmierski and Viola F. (Sun) Kazmierski-Perry, he resided in Pawtucket for many years.
Klenn was a Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran. He was employed by Texas Instruments, Attleboro for twenty years before retiring in 1996, and was an avid golfer.
