John A. Sojka
REHOBOTH - John A. "Jan" Sojka, 94, passed away Monday September 22, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Frances (Trela) Sojka.
Born in Poughkeepsie, NY he was a son of the late Jozef and Magdalena (Lezon) Sojka. He lived in Rehoboth for the past 65 years.
Before retiring Jan was employed as a Polisher for Leavens Mfg. Co. of Attleboro and later worked for the Town of Rehoboth Transfer Station
SMITHFIELD - Glynn, Annabelle (Lee) 85, of Smithfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2014 at the Cortland Place Nursing Home, in Greenville. She was the wife of the late Francis X. Glynn.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Francis P. and Thyra H. (Anderson) Lee.
Annabelle was a communicant of St. Michael Church. She was a member of the Ireland 32 Society, R.I. Police Officers Emerald Society, and the Smithfield YMCA. Mrs. Glynn had resided in North Attleboro prior to moving to Smithfield in 1985.
Raymond A. Noreau
PAWTUCKET - Raymond A. Noreau, 60, of Power Road died Tuesday, September 23, 2104 at Miriam Hospital, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Louann (Konicki) Noreau, the Lincoln Animal Control Officer. Mr. and Mrs. Noreau were married 38 years on March 20.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Joseph Charles and Blanche J. (Malo) Noreau, he had lived in Lincoln for most of his life before moving to Pawtucket 10 years ago.
Regina M. Pimental
CENTRAL FALLS - Regina M. Pimental, 81, of Notre Dame St., passed away Friday in the R.I. Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Edward J. Pimental.
Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alice (Larosee) Wright.
Mrs. Pimental was employed by the Hindley Manufacturing Co., Cumberland for over 20 years until her retirement in 1996.
Anna M. Coleman
CUMBERLAND - Anna M. Coleman, formerly of Cumberland died on September 18, 2014. She was born in Pawtucket the daughter of the late Joseph Coleman and Jane (Conlon) Coleman. Anna was a remarkable and generous woman she was always in good cheer. Anna was an inspector at Corning Glass for many years. Anna recently was awarded her 75 years of service pin there.
Leo N. LeBeau
PAWTUCKET - Leo N. LeBeau, 92, of Pawtucket, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014. He was the husband of the late Gertrude (Vashey) LeBeau. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Napoleon and Rose (Beaudette) LeBeau. Leo was an army veteran of World War II. He was a truck driver for the Teamsters for 38 years, retiring in 1981.
John J. Durkin
CUMBERLAND - John J. Durkin, formerly of Cumberland and Jamestown passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014.
Mr. Durkin was born in Carlstadt, New Jersey, the son of the late John Durkin and Alice M. (Marginson) Durkin. He was a custodian for the Cumberland School Department for many years.
John is survived by his nephew Thomas Benoit and his wife Virginia of Seekonk, Massachusetts, his niece Barbara Drolet of Rumford and several grand nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Marie Benoit and Irene Munson.
Katherine Ann Carroll-Young
PAWTUCKET - Katherine Ann Carroll-Young of Pawtucket died on September 16, 2014. She was the wife of Rickey F. Young.
Katherine was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Thomas J. Whalen and Marjorie I. (Leary) Whalen. She was a dispatcher for the City of Pawtucket's Police Department for over 30 years.
Besides her husband she leaves her daughter Denise Carroll, her stepchildren, Rickey Young Jr., Michelle Mederios, Marsha Young, Jennifer daPonte, Michael Young, Dustin Young, and David Young.
Doris May Halliwell
CUMBERLAND - Matriarch Doris May (Bishop) Halliwell died peacefully on Thursday at Home & Hospice Care of RI Inpatient Center, in the loving care of her family. She had resided at the Emerald Bay Manor assisted-living home in Cumberland since 2003. She was predeceased by her faithful husband Thomas to whom she was married 65 years. Doris was the loving daughter of the late Lottie (Patterson) and Clarence Bishop.
John P. Lubera Jr.
PAWTUCKET - John P. Lubera Jr. passed away September 5, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Lapierre) Lubera.
Born in Central Falls he was a son of the late John P. and Jennie (Cordeau) Lubera Sr. He lived in Pawtucket for most of his life.
Before retiring John was employed as a Mail Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years and also owned and operated Lubera's Window Cleaning Service.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Vietnam. John was a member of several veterans organizations.
CENTRAL FALLS - Caroline Kulig, 98, passed away Tuesday September 16, 2014.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Walter and Wiktorya (Pietruszka) Kulig. She lived in South Attleboro for the past 6 years and was formerly of Central Falls.
Before retiring she was employed as a Secretary for the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office.
Esther F. Powers-Lane
PAWTUCKET - Esther F. Powers-Lane, 84, passed away Tuesday after an illness.
She was the former wife of the late Milton Powers and the widow of George Lane and the daughter of the late Hugh J. and Esther (Goodwin) Walsh. Esther was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
Irene E. Fontaine
PAWTUCKET - Irene E. Fontaine, 95 of Pawtucket died Sunday.

Robert R. Landry Jr.
CENTRAL FALLS - Robert R. Landry Jr., 44, passed unexpectedly on Thursday, September 11th with his loving family by his side. Born in Pawtucket, the son of Robert R. Landry Sr. and Lucille (Lavallee) Landry. He is also survived by his fiancÃ©e Patricia Sweeney.
Robert was a proud supporter of "RI Pink Trucks" and "Pink Heals" as well as spending time and talking with Veterans. He was a proud member of the "Patriot Guard."
Ida I. Pelletier
ALBION - Ida I. Pelletier, 90, of Franklin St. Lincoln, formerly of School St., Albion died Thursday September 11, 2014 at Home & Hospice Care of RI Philip Hulitar Center in Providence. She was the loving wife of the late Lucien J. Pelletier who passed away on July 5, 2013.
Born in Richmond, Virginia she was a daughter of the late Walker and Etta (Klein) Floyd. She was raised in Ocean View, Virginia and graduated from Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia.
Elaine T. DiAngelo
SEEKONK - Elaine T. (Rhodes) DiAngelo, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Floyd "Don" V. DiAngelo for 38 years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Whalen) Rhodes.
CENTRAL FALLS - Paula (Ziochouski) Mongeau, 65, passed away Sunday September 7, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Central Falls she was a beloved daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Norek) Ziochouski. She lived in Warwick for the past 5 years and was formerly of Johnston and Central Falls.
Before retiring Paula was employed as a Meat Wrapper and Deli Clerk for the former Almacs Supermarkets.
Pearl M. Malone
PAWTUCKET - Pearl M. Malone, 89, formerly of Pawtucket died on September 11, 2014.
She was the wife of the late Daniel T. Malone.
Mrs. Malone was born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late James Wood and Susan (Wynn) Wood. She was an inspector at Allied Chemical for many years.
Pearl is survived by her daughters; Susan Boyce and Pearl Cartier. She also leaves her stepchildren; Daniel T. Malone Jr., and his wife Dana and Carol Dufresne.
Mrs. Malone had eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
LINCOLN - Thomas Collins, "Tom" 89, passed on September 11th peacefully at home with his family. He was the son of the late James and Marcella Collins. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rita (LaFountaine) Collins. Tom was a member of Army Air Corp and served in the Pacific during World War II. He had been employed by Harvest Bread for many years and retired from Wonder Bread in Providence. Both Tom and Rita were co-founders of the ARC of Blackstone Valley.
PAWTUCKET - William Lussier, "Bill" 70, passed on September 4th.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Oreme and Delia (Pelletier) Lussier. He resided most of his life in Pawtucket and Central Falls and recently resided at Kennedy Manor. He loved listening to music, especially Elvis.
Bill is survived by a sister, Beatrice Emery, of Lincoln, a brother, Richard Lussier and his wife Lillian of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Doris Beaulier Alexion and Leo Lussier.
