James John Shea
NEWPORT, NC - James J. Shea, 69, formerly of Cumberland, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 surrounded by his family at Crystal Coast Hospice House in North Carolina. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Roy) Shea.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late James A. and Mary (O'Connor) Shea. He was raised in Cumberland and resided there until he moved to North Carolina in 2003.
He was the co-owner of Shea's auto body and also worked several years at Hattaras Yachts before retiring in 2011. During his retirement he volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.
Dorothy Mae Piche
CENTRAL FALLS - Dorothy Mae Piche, 86, of Blackstone Falls, entered into eternal life on Monday. Born in Pawtucket a daughter of the late Ernest and Gertrude (Houston) Vashey.
Dot had been a waitress for the former Gerry's Catering for several years.
She leaves her son Robert Piche of Pawtucket and a sister Joan Sossville of Central Falls. She also leaves her 2 granddaughters, Jessica and Sarah Piche. She was the sister of the late Edward Vashey and Gertrude Lebeau.
Her funeral will be at the convenience of the family.
CENTRAL FALLS - Jorge Pires, 51, passed away Sunday after an illness. Born in Sao Miguel, the Azores, a son of Maria (Rodrigues) Pires and the late Domingos Pires. He has lived in Central Falls for more than 40 years. He and his late father operated Pires fish market until his father passed away. He had also been employed at NEPTCO for several years.
Sister Rhea Lachapelle
MARLBOROUGH, MA - Sister Rhea Lachapelle, a Sister of St. Anne, known in religion as Sister Louise Maria died at the age of 92 at Marie Esther Health Center in this city on Sunday, April 27, 2014 in the 71st year of vowed religious life.
She was born in Worcester, the only child of Omer and Gertrude (Dean) Lachapelle. She completed her elementary education in Worcester and obtained her high school diploma from the former Saint Anne Academy in Marlborough. She held undergraduate degrees in History and in Home Economics, and a Masters in Education in Family Living.
Barbara M. Belford
PAWTUCKET - Barbara M. (Arnold) Belford, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 28, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Howard T. Belford. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Myra (Green) Arnold.
Betty E. L. Taylor
PAWTUCKET - Betty E. L. (Harris) Taylor, 88, of Dennisport, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 24, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Ernest "Bill" W. Taylor. Betty met her husband in England during World War II, after the war she settled in Pawtucket and the couple married in 1946. Born in Birmingham, England, she was the daughter of the late George R. and Gertrude (Cooper) Harris.
Orlindo M. Silva
PAWTUCKET - SILVA, Orlindo M. , 92, of Pawtucket died April 25, 2014. He was the husband of the late Maria D. (Delgado) Silva. Mr. Silva was born in Baracal, Portugal. He was a son of the late Antonio and Maria doCarmo (Cabral) daSilva. He came to this country in 1956 settling in Pawtucket. Mr. Silva was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church, a member of the Portuguese Social Club and Uniao Portuguesa Beneficente.

PAWTUCKET - Mary G. Wagner, 88, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Pawtucket Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Matthew P. Wagner. She leaves two sons, Wayne K. Wagner and Phillip M. Wagner.
JoAnn M. George
RUMFORD - JoAnn M. George, 69 of Roger Williams Avenue, Rumford passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. She was the wife of Mark L. George and the late Alan R. DelMonico. Mrs. George was a receptionist for the Pawtucket Times before she retired.
Gloria Ann Grzebien
PAWTUCKET - Gloria Ann Grzebien was born September 15, 1948 in Providence to the late Edward and Carolyn (Borek) Grzebien. She is survived by her cousins, Vivian Borek of Quincy, MA and Rosalie Borek of Worcester, MA.
WOONSOCKET - Mary Bois, 97, of Paradis Ave. Woonsocket died Wednesday at Oakland Grove Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Raymond L. Bois, Sr.
Born in Manville she was a daughter of the late Luigi and Anelda Nilda (Savelli) Sbarbati, both natives of Italy. She was raised in Manville and resided in Woonsocket for over 60 years,
CUMBERLAND - Stanislawa Mach, 81, passed away Wednesday April 16, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Stanislaw Mach.
Born in Grodzisko, Gorne, Podkarpackie, Poland she was a daughter of the late Antoni and Apolonia (Matuszek) Markocki. She lived in Cumberland for the past 13 years and was formerly of Central Falls.
Before retiring Mrs. Mach was employed as a Machine Operator for the former Elizabeth Webbing Co. Of Central Falls for 13 years.
Laura M. Roe
PAWTUCKET - Laura M. Roe, of Pawtucket passed away on April 22, 2014. She was the wife of the late Harry T. Roe.
Mrs. Roe was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Joseph Terrien and Ida (Charpentier) Terrien. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children; Linda Sequin of Pawtucket, Donna Hujara of Pawtucket, Susan Merow and her husband Joseph of Lincoln, Robert Roe of Pawtucket and Laurie Peloquin and her husband Robert of Woonsocket.
Manuel J. C. Tavares
PAWTUCKET - Manuel J. C. Tavares, 73, of Riley St., passed away Monday in the R. I. Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Astrid (Antunes) Tavares.
Born in Cabouco, St. Miguel, Azores he was the son of the late Eduardo and Maria C. (Carreiro) Tavares. He resided in Pawtucket for the past 46 years.
Raymond P. Lacourse
CUMBERLAND - Raymond P. Lacourse, 72, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014. He was the husband of Kathleen (Drape) Lacourse. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eva (Bouffard) Lacourse. Ray owned and operated J.D. Lacourse & Son of Pawtucket since 1960.
John J. Callahan, Jr.
CUMBERLAND - John J. Callahan, Jr., 86, of Cumberland, passed away Monday April 21, 2014. He was the husband of Dorothy (Holmes) Callahan. They were happily married for 64 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Theresa (Scanlon) Callahan.
Mr. Callahan was a World War II Army veteran. John lived in Pawtucket before moving to Cumberland 20 years ago. He was a letter carrier from the Pawtucket Post Office for 35 years, retiring in 1986.
Carol W. Burnham
SANDWICH, MA - Carol W. (Pond) Burnham age 97, died peacefully, early Saturday morning, April 19, 2014 at Cape Heritage Nursing Home in Sandwich, MA, after a long, heroic battle with Alzheimer's disease. Despite the disease, Carol remained a kind and gentle woman who was loved by all her caregivers.

CENTRAL FALLS - Louise J. Folan, 86, passed on April 20th with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Vincent E. Folan Sr.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Michael and Laura (Prew) Greenan.
She is survived by two sons, Vincent E. Folan Jr and his wife Ellen and David M. Folan and his wife Carol all of Pawtucket, a daughter, Susan L. Levasseur and her husband Gerard of Central Falls, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Ruth Lizotte and Margaret Healy
