Ralph C. Ames
CUMBERLAND - Ralph C. Ames of Cumberland entered into eternal rest on Saturday, January 18, 2014.
Mr. Ames was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late George E. Ames and Ruth E. (Bardsley) Ames. He was employed at The Arc of Blackstone Valley for many years.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23, at 11:00 a.m, in the MANNING-HEFFERN FUNERAL HOME, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.

Jessie K. Bolandz
ATTLEBORO - Jessie K. Bolandz, 90, died peacefully Thursday January 16, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander R. Bolandz.
Born in Pawtucket, RI she was a daughter of the late Wojciech and Jadwiga (Kuczek) Kapinos.
The essence of Jessie's life was her unwavering dedication to her faith and her family.
Janice L. Hutchinson
EAST PROVIDENCE- Hutchinson, Janice L. (Read) passed away January 16, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at her home in Rumford where she had lived for 63 years. She follows her husband, Al, who passed away in 2010.
They were an inseparable team since their marriage in 1943. Jan was born September 28, 1922 in Pawtucket, the daughter of Franklin D. and Mildred L. (Ludgate) Read.
Walter B. Johnson, Jr.
PAWTUCKET- Walter "Wally" B. Johnson, Jr., passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 after a courageous 3 year battle with throat cancer. He was the beloved husband of Pamela M. (Bora) Johnson, they would have celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary in May.
Born in Cranston, he was a son of Pearl M. (Langlois) Johnson of Pawtucket and the late Walter B. Johnson, Sr.
CUMBERLAND- Piedade "Pat" Lourenco (Freitas), 95, formerly of Silva St. passed away Thursday at the Woonsocket Health Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Fernando Lourenco.
Born in New Haven, CT, she was the daughter of the late Lucas and Virginia (Santos) Freitas.
Stephen T. Nason
CENTRAL FALLS - Stephen T. Nason, 78 passed on January 14, 2014. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Howard and Eileen (Burke) Nason.
He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Nason of Naugatuck,CT and Dawn Maghfour, six grandchildren children, Jeremy, Joshua, Emily, Jessenia, Layla and Lena, a sister Mary Allard and the brother of the late James Nason.
CENTRAL FALLS - James Nason, 73 passed on January 12, 2014. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Howard and Eileen (Burke) Nason.
He leaves behind a sister Mary Allard. He was the brother of the late Stephen T. Mason.
A service will be held Friday at 1pm in the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited and may visit one hour prior to the service. For online condolences visit www.thekeefefuneralhome.com
Fernando do Nascimento
PAWTUCKET - Fernando do Nascimento, 91, of Orange Park, FL and formerly of Pawtucket died Monday in Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park, FL. He was the husband of the late Maria de Lurdes (Barata) Nascimento.
Born in SetÃºbal, Portugal, a son of the late DamiÃ£o and Ermelinda (da ConceiÃ§Ã£o) Nascimento. He came to this country in 1973.
Mr. DoNascimento worked as a Machine Operator for the former Attleboro Dye and Finish Co. and also for Ridco Casting Co. in Pawtucket.
Janet E. Ames
LINCOLN - Ames, Janet E. (Wescott) of Lincoln passed away peacefully on January 12, surrounded by her loving family. Born in West Brooksville, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Stillman and Clara (Blodgett) Wescott. She was predeceased by her husband George E. and her eldest son Dr. Glenn J. as well as her siblings Helen Farrow and Gordon Wescott.
CUMBERLAND - Wallace "Buster" Emilianowicz, 86, of Cumberland, RI, died December 27 in Cincinnati, OH with family.
He was born March 2, 1927 in Pawtucket, RI. Wallace was married to the late Alberta (Kelleher) for 56 years.
Wallace was a WWII veteran. He worked at Collyer Wire as a supervisor for 45 years and retired in 1989. He was a member of the Barney-Merry Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.
Jane M. Carnes
PAWTUCKET - CARNES, Jane M. (Piening) 100, of Pawtucket, died peacefully on January 9, 2014. She was the wife of the late William E. Carnes Sr.
Mrs. Carnes was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Gus and Mary (Hoelscher) Piening. She was employed by Providence Metalizing Co. of Pawtucket as an office clerk until her retirement. She was a member of St. Maria Goretti Church. Sergeant in the Women's Army Air Corp during WWII, where she met her loving husband. She was a talented seamstress.
Girard A. Gagnon
NORTH ATTLEBORO - Girard "Jerry" A. Gagnon, 83, of North Attleboro, formerly of Plainville, passed away at home on Monday, January 6, 2014. He was the husband of Mary E. (Powell) Gagnon to whom he married on August 22, 1953.
Born in Central Falls, RI on December 17, 1930, he was a son of the late Eugene A. and Lillian A. (Theroux) Gagnon.
Mr. Gagnon proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves prior to and then in the United States Army during the Korean War.
PAWTUCKET - Melissa "Missy" Sweeney, 44, of Whipple Street passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of Fred Sweeney of Pawtucket and Elaine (St. Jean) George of Lincoln.
Missy was a recruiter for the Sawyer School for several years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Cumberland Post #14, American Legion, Cumberland.
Virginia R. Loynds
CUMBERLAND - Virginia R. (Moor) Loynds, 90, formerly of Rigdewood Rd. passed away Tuesday in The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Loynds for 55 years.
Born in Boston, MA she was the daughter of the late Earl M. and Ruth C. (McFaden) Moor. She had resided in Cumberland over 50 years previously residing in Skowhegan, ME and Brookline, MA.
Doris E. Delaney
PAWTUCKET - Doris E. Delaney, born on July 6th, 1925, passed away on January 8th, 2013 in Pawtucket, R.I. She resided at the Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket, R.I. where she lived for the past several years. Doris was born in Providence R.I., a daughter of the late Elsie and William Wheatley.
She resided in Pawtucket, R.I. with her husband Raymond who predeceased her in 2008. During her years in Pawtucket, Doris was a devoted wife, mother and sister having dedicated her life to raising her family.
PAWTUCKET - Frederick Habershaw, 86, formerly of Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, passed away Wednesday at Berkshire Place, Providence.
Born in Attleboro, MA ,he was the son of the late William and Sarah (Bradley) Habershaw. He resided in Pawtucket for over 20 years, previously residing in South Attleboro, MA.
Mr. Habershaw was employed at one time by the Crown Manufacturing, Darlington Fabrics and Moore Fabrics. He later was a self-employed maintenance worker.
Glenn R. Fitzpatrick
PAWTUCKET - Fitzpatrick, Glenn R., 57 of Pawtucket died January 9, 2014 at Home and Hospice Care of RI. Mr. Fitzpatrick was born in Providence, son of the late Fred R. and Dorothy H. (Earnshaw) Fitzpatrick. He loved sports.
He is survived by his four siblings, Carolyn Parrott and her husband Robert of Manchester, CT, Barbara King and her husband Joseph of Pawtucket, Allen Fitzpatrick and his wife Michele of Pawtucket and Fred Fitzpatrick and his wife Paula of Bristol. His guardian Cheryl Grenier of Cumberland.
Donald J. LeBlanc Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Donald J. LeBlanc Jr., of Byron avenue, Pawtucket died on January 5, 2014.
Mr. LeBlanc was the husband of the late Eileen (McConnon) LeBlanc.
He was born in Bristol, the son of the late Donald J. LeBlanc Sr. and Victoria (Santo) LeBlanc.
Mr. LeBlanc served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He earned numerous commendations during his time there including the Bronze Star Medal.
Ruth H. Travers
CUMBERLAND - Ruth H. Travers, 79, of Highland Avenue passed away Tuesday in R.I. Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Travers.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Chaput) Davis. She was a lifelong Cumberland resident.
She was a communicant of St. Aidan Church, Cumberland.
