PAWTUCKET - Rita Kleniewski, 86, passed away Sunday January 26, 2014 at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital.
Born in Pawtucket she was a daughter of the late Walter and Jennie (Widenski) Kleniewski. She was a life long resident of Pawtucket.
Before retiring in 1988 she was employed by the U.S. Army Mapping Service for 35 years. She was a member of St. Teresa of the Child Jesus Church Seniors.
Rita is survived by nieces and nephews.
Wilfred R. Cottrell
CUMBERLAND - Wilfred R. Cottrell, "Ron", 75, of Cumberland, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2014. He was the beloved husband for 45 years of Elizabeth (Laig) Cottrell. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Margaret (Walsh) Cottrell.
Ron enjoyed playing golf and was a former member of the Country View Country Club.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, David W. Cottrell and nieces and nephews.
Antionette M. Smith
PAWTUCKET - Antionette M. Smith (Biondo) 58, of Pawtucket, died January 26, 2014. She was born in Providence. She was a daughter of the late Joseph A. and Iola M. (McGowan) Biondo.
She is survived by her five children, Mark Smith of Pawtucket, Kevin Smith of Virginia, Daniel Smith of Fall River, Markea Smith of West Warwick and Nohelea Smith of Cranston; Two sisters Joann M. Lopes of Cranston and Carol Gill of Cranston; twelve grandchildren; longtime companion David Lopez and sister of the late Shirley Gomes.
Roger S. Sherman
LINCOLN - Roger S. Sherman, 86, of Woodward Road passed away peacefully Friday, January 24, 2014 at home. He was the devoted husband of his sweetheart, the late Jean C. (Bushee) Sherman for 62 years. A lifelong resident of Lincoln, he was the son of the late E. Sidney and Esther (Foster) Sherman.
Harold S. Prew
BARRINGTON - Prew, Harold, S., "Hal," 45, of Zephyr Lane, died unexpectedly on January 25, 2014 surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was the beloved husband of Wendy (Hughes) Prew.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children; Benjamin J. Prew, Abbigayle C.L. Prew and Zachariah J. Prew, all of Barrington.
CUMBERLAND - Joao Delgado, 80 of Mill Street passed away Friday at the home of his son. He was the husband of the late Aida (Antonio) Delgado.
Born in Villa de Rei, Portugal, he was the son of the late Maria Augusta. He came to this country in 1960, settling in Cumberland.
Mr. Delgado was a laborer employed by Universal Construction, Cranston for more than 18 years.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland. He was also a member of the Laborer's International Union Local 271 and a member of the Uniao Portuguesa Benificente, Pawtucket.
Sheila A. McHale
CUMBERLAND - Sheila A. McHale, 73, of Hilton Head Island, formerly of Cumberland, passed away unexpectedly while vacationing on the Cayman Islands on January 18, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Thomas McHale for 52 wonderful years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Evelyn (Ferrari) Sartini.
Stella G. Richardson
CENTRAL FALLS - Stella G. Richardson, 89, passed away Thursday January 23, 2014 at Oakhill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late Henry Richardson.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Maciej and Victoria (Bomba) Majka.
Before retiring Stella was employed as a Homemaker in the Pawtucket area.
Thelma M. Wainwright
LINCOLN - WAINWRIGHT, Thelma M. (Barr) 96, of Lincoln, died January 26, 2014. She was the wife of the late James T. Wainwright. Mrs. Wainwright was born in Lincoln. She was a daughter of the late Andrew and Caroline (Feather) Barr. She was employed by Shawmut Bank of RI, formerly People's Bank as a bookkeeper for 25 years until her retirement in 1982. Mrs. Wainwright was a communicant of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Pawtucket where she was a member of the choir and soloist for 60 years, former Sunday school teacher, AARP and a volunteer at Hallworth House.
Estelle I. Bedard
PAWTUCKET - Estelle I. (Grenier) Bedard, 93, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred H. Bedard. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Eva (Bessette) Grenier. Estelle was employed in the Admitting Department of the Memorial Hospital of RI until retiring in 1978.
Susan M. Furtado
PAWTUCKET - Susan M. Furtado, 52, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 23, 2014. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a beloved daughter of Kenneth and Alice (Alkern) Furtado of Pawtucket.
Susan was the proprietor of Calico Junction Country Crafts, where she made and sold hand crafted fabric gifts of all kinds. She was a 1980 graduate of Tolman High School and attended CCRI. Susan was involved with the Girl Scouts of Rhode Island as a child and adult for over fifteen years, and was an avid M & Ms and Walt Disney collector.
NapoleĂˇo L. Vicente
LINCOLN - NapoleĂˇo L. Vicente, 91, passed on January 22nd with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Adelina (Pina) Vicente. They have been married for 66 years.
Born in Brava, Cabo Verde, a son of the late Amancio and Julia (Pina) Vicente.
He had been employed by Healthtex for many years before retiring.
George J. Washburn
SEEKONK - George J. Washburn, 94, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Emily C. (Weaton) Washburn. Born in Taunton, a son of the late George E. and Almy (Bliss) Washburn, he resided in Seekonk over seventy years.
Donald R. Farrell
CUMBERLAND - Donald R. Farrell, 82, of Cumberland, passed away Wednesday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Bertha (Pellerin) Farrell, and they had been married for over 56 years.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late John Sousa and Ethel (Farrell) Sousa. He was a life-long Cumberland resident.
He was a United States Army, Korean War Veteran. He received the Korean War citation, three Bronze Stars, Occupational Medal of Japan, and the Combat Infantry Badge.
CUMBERLAND- Maureen Azar, 50, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at her home. She was the beloved daughter of Joan B. (Toomey) Azar and the late Louis R. Azar.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her loving sister, Joanne Diggle, her beloved niece, Ashley Diggle who she adored, and her partner John Plaskon of New York.
Thomas D. McGrath
NORTH PROVIDENCE- Thomas D. McGrath, 67, of Obed Ave., passed away Friday in the Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Edmond F. and Mary D. (Ware) McGrath. He resided in North Providence with his companion Diane Anelundi for eight years.
Thomas was a welder employed by the Whittet Co., Central Falls and previously employed by the Kellaway Transportation Co., Pawtucket.
Jose Jesus de Abreu
PAWTUCKET- Jose Jesus de Abreu, 81, of Pawtucket passed away Tuesday, January 20th at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Francelina (dos Santos) De Abreu and father to Grace Small and Belinha De Abreu.
Shirley M. Landry
CENTRAL FALLS - Shirley M. Landry, 68, passed on December 14, 2013 while visiting her sister in Ohio. She was the wife of Reginald Landry. They had been married for 50 years. Shirley had been employed in the jewelry industry for many years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Kristen Landry, a grandson, Mathew, her siblings, Mary Shaner, Franny Brenaman, Suzie Hodge, David Gamel and Ronnie Weir. She was the mother of the late Kimberlee Landry.

CUMBERLAND - Zilda de Jesus Salustio (de Loureiro), 95, of Broad St. passed away Friday in The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the beloved wife of the late Antonio L. Salustio.
Born in Moimenta do Dao, Mangualde, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Joao M. and Ana (Marques) de Loureiro. She had resided in Cumberland for 54 years.
She was employed by the former Atlas Braid Co., Cumberland for many years retiring in 1982. Mrs. Salustio was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
