William J. Walsh
SOUTH ATTLEBORO - William J. Walsh of South Attleboro, Massachusetts died on February 13, 2014.
He was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Arthur Walsh and Madeline (Dooley) Walsh. Mr. Walsh owned and operated Walsh's Auto Clinic in North Attleboro for many years.
Mr. Walsh is survived by his sons, Stephen Walsh and his wife Julie of South Attleboro Ma., and Kenneth J. Walsh of Moosup Ct. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Stephen, Jessica and Brendan.
PAWTUCKET - Maria Helena Rosa Monteiro, born on the island of Brava, Cape Verde on January 1940, Maria migrated to the US in 1981 along with her husband of 51 years, Manuel Monteiro, her sons, Osvaldo, Carlos, and Roberto as well as her daughters, Carmen Vieira-Monteiro, Cesarina Elias, Ivonilda Burgess, and her late daughter Fatima Monteiro.
Joseph G. Brule
CUMBERLAND - Joseph G. Brule, 96, husband of the late Anita (Nadeau) Brule, passed into eternal life at home on Monday. He was born in Canada, a son of the late William and Blanche Brule. Mr. Brule lived in Central Falls many years until moving to Cumberland in 1994. He had been employed as a foreman for the Bird & Son Company for several years and also was a house painter for many years.
Milagros Vargas Castro
PAWTUCKET - Milagros Vargas Castro, 65, passed into eternal rest at home on Tuesday.
She was born in Barahona, the Dominican Republic, a daughter of the late Manuel Vargas and Irenes Castro. Milagros was a home-maker.
She leaves 3 sons, Wilfredo Matos with whom she lived, Rafael Matos also of Pawtucket and Wendy Matos of the Dominican Republic, a daughter, Delinea Chapman of Pawtucket and 15 grandchildren.
Maurice J. Jarest
WOONSOCKET - Maurice J. Jarest, 82, formerly of Ocala, Fl. passed away Tuesday after an illness. He was born in Central Falls a son of the late Dominique and Josephine (Gaboriault) Jarest. He had been employed at the former Collyer Wire Co. as a wire drawer and also worked as a house painter. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War.
LINCOLN - Nancy (Saliba) Tajra, 103, formerly of Carriage Drive, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at North Bay Manor, Smithfield. She was the wife of the late William G. Tajra.
Born in Canada, a daughter of the late Said and Nazira (Daoud) Saliba, she had lived in Lincoln for over 40 years.
Mrs. Tajra was a bookkeeper before retiring.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Lincoln, a member of the Lincoln Garden Club, and a member of the Social Order of Beauceants.
Robert J. Carnie
PAWTUCKET - Robert J. Carnie, 81, passed away on February 11, 2014. Born in Mt. Desert, Maine, he was the son of the late Robert H. and Marcia (Robinson) Carnie.
Robert leaves his sister, Ruth C. Carnie of Pawtucket.

Robert G. Fournier
CENTRAL FALLS - Robert G. Fournier, 78, of High Street died Monday, February 10, 2014 at Woonsocket Health Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Carol A. (Gouveia) Fournier.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late George and Evelyn (Carpenter) Fournier, he had lived in Pawtucket before moving to Lincoln for 10 years and has lived in Central Falls for the past 6 years.
Mr. Fournier was a self-employed brick mason for many years before retiring. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.
Catarina A. Fernandes
PAWTUCKET - Catarina A. Fernandes, 96, of Collins Ave., passed away Sunday in the Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. She was the beloved wife of Herminio A. Fernandes.
Born in Rio de Janeiro she was the daughter of the late Joaquim and Silvana (Salustio) Loureiro. She came to this country from Portugal 63 years ago and had resided in Cumberland and had lived in Pawtucket for the past 37 years.
Benita R. Mooney
CUMBERLAND - Benita R. (Noga) Mooney, 83, passed away Saturday at the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Edward T. Mooney, and they had been married for 63 years.
Born in Dudley, MA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Stella (Augustynski) Noga. She resided in Cumberland for most of her life.
Mrs. Mooney was employed as an Associate at Ann & Hope Inc. for over 30 years until her retirement.
Eveline T. Engelhardt
PAWTUCKET - Eveline T. (Swistak) Engelhardt, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Paul E. Engelhardt, together they would have celebrated 57 years of marriage this June. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late John S. and Jeannette L. (Cote) Swistak.
Joseph E. Packer Sr.
CUMBERLAND - Joseph E. Packer Sr., 57, passed away Saturday at the Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, Brighton, MA. He was the beloved husband of Colleen R. (Moran) Packer, and they had been married for 18 years.
Born in Central Falls, RI, he was the son of the late Stephen and Bernadette (Stauff) Packer. He was a life-long resident of Cumberland.
Mr. Packer was a United States Navy Veteran.
Joe was employed as manager for the City Packing, Boston for 37 years until his brief illness.
Rita G. Caron
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Rita G. Caron, 81, of North Smithfield, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Albina (Durand) Caron.
Rita was a beautician who owned and operated Caron's Coiffures in Central Falls before retiring in 1995.
She is survived by two sisters, Monique Perreault, and Yvette Caron, a niece, Pamela Carstens, and two nephews, Kevin and Michael Perreault.
Lillian M. Weygand
EAST PROVIDENCE - Lillian M. (Kingsley) Weygand, 97, formerly of Pawtucket and Ft. Myers, Fl. passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Home. She was the wife of the late Charles E. Weygand, Sr. They had been married fifty-five years.
Born in East Providence, she was a daughter of the late Frederick T. and Rose F. (Boyle) Kingsley. Mrs. Weygand worked in the business office at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital for twelve years before she retired in 1978.
LINCOLN- Dennis P. Pacheco Sr, 90, of Lincoln Manor, passed away Tuesday at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of Beatrice (Levesque) Pacheco, and they had been married 66 years.
Born in East Providence, he was the son of the late Manuel and Maria (Botelho) Pacheco. He resided on Webster Street in Lincoln for 28 years, moving to California for 10 years, and returning to Lincoln in 1992.
Mr. Pacheco was a United States Navy, World War II and Korean War Veteran.
Ovidio J. Garzoli
PAWTUCKET- Ovidio J. Garzoli- "Charlie" of Brewster Street Pawtucket died on February 4, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (King) Garzoli.
Mr. Garzoli was born in Pawtucket the son of the late Dominick and Assunta (Bonini) Garzoli. He worked at New England Linen for many years.
Charlie served in the United States Army as a constable in Germany after WWII. He was a longtime member of Holy Family Parish in Pawtucket.
Naseem A. Ayoub
SEEKONK- Naseem "Nas" A. Ayoub, 75, formerly of Seekonk, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2014 in Naples, FL with his beloved wife of 46 years, Ann M. (Davignon) Ayoub, by his side.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Assad and Mary (Moussab) Ayoub.
Thomas J. Duffy
PAWTUCKET - Thomas J. Duffy, formerly of Pawtucket and Little Compton passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, February 2, 2014. He was the loving husband of Barbara (Molloy) Duffy. They were married for 59 years.
Mr. Duffy was born in Pawtucket the son of the late Thomas L. Duffy and Mary (Kennedy) Duffy. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII.
