Betty J. Lees
LINCOLN - Betty J. Lees, 93, of Sayles Hill Road, died Tuesday, February 18 at the Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the beloved wife of the late George H. Lees.
Born in Providence, a daughter of the late William E. and Myrtis (Weaver) Martin, she had lived in Lincoln for many years.
Mrs. Lees was a schoolteacher at the Lonsdale School in Lincoln for twenty-six years, retiring in 1986.
She was a graduate of Pawtucket High School, Class of 1939, and R.I. State College, Class of 1943, where she was a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority.
Marion F. Schofield
BURRILLVILLE - Marion F. Schofield, 90, of Pascoag, died Monday, February 17, at the Pine Grove Health Center, Pascoag. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond T. Schofield.
Born in Valley Falls, a daughter of the late Campbell R. and Addie F. (Rafuse) Ewart, she had lived in Lincoln before moving to Pascoag twenty years ago.
Jean V. Hicks
CENTRAL FALLS - Jean V. Hicks, 94, passed away Wednesday after an illness. Born in Salem, MA a daugther of the late John and Helen Spaniak.
She has lived in Central Falls many years and had been employed as a nurse's aid.
She leaves a son James Hicks of Cumberland, 2 sisters, Helen Spaniak of Pawtucket and Sr. Mary Inocencia of CT also 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren
A Private Funeral Service will be held Friday in the CHARLES COELHO Funeral Home, 151 Cross St. Central Falls, burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery.

LINCOLN - Gabrielle M. Marcotte, 87, of Lincoln, died Tuesday. She was the wife of the late Rosaire A. Marcotte and the mother of Charles L. Marcotte, Susan J. Famiglietti, Lisa M. Costa, Lori A. Longtin and Beth A. McLoughlin.

Edith V. Courchene
PORT RICHEY, FL - Edith V. (Whitmarsh) Courchene, 76, passed away on Monday, February 17, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald Courchene. Born and raised in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late William G. and Selma (Maiwald) Whitmarsh. Edith had resided in Marlborough, MA before retiring to Florida in 1985.
PAWTUCKET - Guckin, Elizabeth-Ann D. (Doyle) "Betty-Ann" 77, of Pawtucket passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Doyle.
Betty-Ann worked as an RN in the pediatric unit at Rhode Island Hospital then continued on to the VNA of Pawtucket, where she retired.
She was the loving mother of Jeffrey Guckin, sister to Douglas Doyle, and grandmother to Erica Szostek and Eli Guckin.
Helen M. Campbell
CUMBERLAND- Helen M. (Gontarski) Campbell, 76, formerly of East Barrows Street, passed away Monday at the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. She was the wife of Joseph "Soupy" Campbell.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Josephine (Wyzga) Gontarski.
She resided in Harrisville for the past 10 years, previously residing in Cumberland
Mrs. Campbell was employed as a welder for Texas Instruments Inc. for over 30 years until her retirement.
Edward F. Faulkner
PAWTUCKET- Edward F. Faulkner of Pawtucket and formerly of Cumberland died on February 17, 2014. He was the husband of the late Rita (Bessette) Faulkner.
Mr. Faulkner was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late John and Anne (Dwyer) Faulkner.
He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War, where he earned the Bronze Star. Mr. Faulkner worked as a mason/bricklayer for the Carlson Co., Gilbane Building Co., and J.L. Marshall & Sons for many years. He was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftsmen, Local 1.
Leo D. Hervieux
LINCOLN - Leo D. Hervieux, 87, passed away Monday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the husband of Jeanne (Lefebvre) Hervieux, and they had been married for 62 years.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Victor and Amanda (Messier) Hervieux. He resided in Lincoln since 1968, previously residing in Central Falls.
Mr. Hervieux was a United States Army Air Corps, World War II veteran, serving in Japan.
Leo was employed by the Lawson Hemphill Company for 29 years until his retirement.
PAWTUCKET - Edward Niedzwiadek, 88, of Owen Avenue, passed away Sunday in the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Julia (Rogala) Niedzwiadek.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Koziol) Niedzwiadek. He resided in Pawtucket for the past 35 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Mr. Niedzwiadek was a United States Navy Veteran, serving during World War II.
He was employed as a Machine Operator for the Texas Instruments Inc., for 20 years, retiring in 1986.
PAWTUCKET - Angelina Michalopoulos of Auburn Street, Pawtucket died on Sunday, February 16, 2014.
Angelina was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late George and Anna (Capethos) Michalopoulos. She worked in the textile industry in Pawtucket for many years.
Miss Michalopoulos was a lifetime member of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, a member of the choir there and a member of the St. Barbara Ladies Club.
Robert F. Thurber
PAWTUCKET - Robert F. Thurber, 78, of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Masse) Thurber. They were happily married for 58 years. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Clifford and Mary (Waldron) Thurber.
Natalie L. Brodeur
WAKEFIELD - Natalie L. Brodeur, 87, of 681 Kingstown Rd., Wakefield, passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014 at home. She was the former wife of Henry J. Brodeur. Born in Mansfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles L. and Agnes (Lynds) Titus.
Mrs. Brodeur was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Kingston, a member and past president of VFW Ladies Auxillary Gatchel Post, Pawtucket, and The Faternal Order of Eagles, 29 Palms, CA. She was always lending a helping hand in a caring manner with a smile and generous concern.
Felix E. Sandoval
CENTRAL FALLS - Felix E. Sandoval, of Earle Street, passed into eternal life on Tuesday after being stricken. He was the husband of Ana D. Sandoval. Born in San Manuel Chapparon Jalapa, Guatemala, a son of the late Jeronimo Maria Sadoval and Santos Maria Sandoval He has lived in Central Falls since 1984.
PAWTUCKET - Mary Lamka, 93, passed away Tuesday February 11, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Care Center in Providence.
Born in Central Falls she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Pizio) Lamka. She lived in Pawtucket for the past 60 years and was formerly of New York City.
Before retiring Mary was employed by ITT Royal Electric of Pawtucket in the Quality Control Department. She had a strong passion for gardening. Mary was a kind gentle spirit who loved animals and music.
Irene J. Dupre
CUMBERLAND - Irene J. Dupre, 84, passed on Friday, February 14th after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Gerard M. Dupre.
She was the daughter of the late Albert O. and Ida (Brouillette) Benoit.
She was employed by Senior Companions of RI for the past 10 years.
William J. Walsh
SOUTH ATTLEBORO - William J. Walsh of South Attleboro, Massachusetts died on February 13, 2014.
He was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Arthur Walsh and Madeline (Dooley) Walsh. Mr. Walsh owned and operated Walsh's Auto Clinic in North Attleboro for many years.
Mr. Walsh is survived by his sons, Stephen Walsh and his wife Julie of South Attleboro Ma., and Kenneth J. Walsh of Moosup Ct. He is also survived by his three grandchildren, Stephen, Jessica and Brendan.
PAWTUCKET - Maria Helena Rosa Monteiro, born on the island of Brava, Cape Verde on January 1940, Maria migrated to the US in 1981 along with her husband of 51 years, Manuel Monteiro, her sons, Osvaldo, Carlos, and Roberto as well as her daughters, Carmen Vieira-Monteiro, Cesarina Elias, Ivonilda Burgess, and her late daughter Fatima Monteiro.
Joseph G. Brule
CUMBERLAND - Joseph G. Brule, 96, husband of the late Anita (Nadeau) Brule, passed into eternal life at home on Monday. He was born in Canada, a son of the late William and Blanche Brule. Mr. Brule lived in Central Falls many years until moving to Cumberland in 1994. He had been employed as a foreman for the Bird & Son Company for several years and also was a house painter for many years.
Milagros Vargas Castro
PAWTUCKET - Milagros Vargas Castro, 65, passed into eternal rest at home on Tuesday.
She was born in Barahona, the Dominican Republic, a daughter of the late Manuel Vargas and Irenes Castro. Milagros was a home-maker.
She leaves 3 sons, Wilfredo Matos with whom she lived, Rafael Matos also of Pawtucket and Wendy Matos of the Dominican Republic, a daughter, Delinea Chapman of Pawtucket and 15 grandchildren.
