Helen B. Nowak
LINCOLN- Mrs. Helen B. (Kopacki) Nowak, 90 died Tuesday March 8, 2011. She was the widow of Joseph A. Nowak, who died June 9, 1989.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Kazimierz and Adela (Irzyk) Kopacki, she was a 1937 graduate of Woonsocket High School.
Mrs. Nowak was employed as a floor lady at the former Najarian's Department Store both in Woonsocket and Pawtucket.
She also worked at the former Gracious Living in Cumberland and at Ann & Hope in Cumberland. She was a Lincoln resident since 1953.
Joseph L. McDonald Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Joseph L. McDonald Jr., of Pawtucket, died March 11, 2011. Mr. McDonald was the husband of the late Gladys L (Bibby) McDonald.
He was born in Providence, the son of the late Joseph L. McDonald Sr., and Edna M. (Johnson) McDonald-Scanlon.
Mr. McDonald was a paper cutter for many years before retiring. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean War.
As a youth Mr. McDonald excelled in baseball and track and field, receiving an invitation to try out for the former Boston Braves Major League Baseball Team.
Sally Ann Beland
PAWTUCKET. Sally Ann (Lange) Beland, 46, of Lowell Avenue, passed away accidentally last Thursday at home.
She was born in Providence a daughter of Muriel (Kennedy) Lange and the late Emory Lange Sr. She had been employed as a laborer for the Providence Gas Co. and previously for Local 271 Laborer's Union.
Besides her mother she leaves a brother Emory Lange Jr. of Pawtucket, a niece, Stephanie Lange of Woonsocket and two Great Nephews, John and Justis. Services were private. Condolences, www.coelhofuneralhome.net.
CUMBERLAND - Mary "May" (Drukas) Roberts, 89, formerly of Meadowcrest Drive died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at the Tockwotton Home, Providence. She was the loving wife of the late Omer W. "Bud" Roberts.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Gus and Christina (Ayoub) Drukas, she had lived in Cumberland for over 40 years.
Mrs. Roberts was a jewelry worker before retiring.
She is survived by one niece, Christine King; two nephews, Christopher and Nicholas Beck; and several cousins. She was the sister of the late Sophie Beck and Rena Lebeau.
Mary F. Allcock
PAWTUCKET - Mary F.(Sherry) Allcock died Monday in Gresham, Oregon at the home of her daughter, Maureen. Born in Pawtucket Ms. Allcock was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (McKitchen) Sherry.
She was an Office Manager at the former Hord Tool & Dye Co. for over 30 years retiring in 1985.
Irene M. Gagne
PAWTUCKET - Irene M. (Kaloostian) Gagne, 71, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Laura(Finley) Kaloostian. Irene was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Heritage Park YMCA, Pawtucket for the past 10 years, and was previously employed by Harvard Pilgrim Health for 10 years and Cranston General Hospital for 35 years. She was a member of the Rhode Island School Nurses Association.
James B. Dixon
PAWTUCKET - James B. Dixon, of Pawtucket died Wednesday March 9, 2011. He was the husband of Donna (Guilmette) Dixon.
Mr. Dixon was born in Pawtucket the son of Theresa A. (Simonelli) Dixon of Pawtucket and the late James B. Dixon. He was a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard, serving during the Vietnam War.
Rita M. Hughes
PAWTUCKET - Rita M. (Bedard) Hughes, 90, of Booth Ave. died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital of RI. She was the wife of the late Lawrence Hughes to whom she had been married for over 50 years.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Gedeon and Emilia (Rousseau) Bedard.
She was a solderer for Robbins Co. of North Attleboro, MA retiring in 1982 and had previously worked at Royal Electric as a Plastic Moulder for 20 years.

Louis F. Parker
N. ATTLEBORO - Louis Francis Louie Parker, 63, of N. Attleboro, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the constant companion of Patricia Costa.
Born in Attleboro on May 23, 1947, Louie grew up and was educated in N. Attleboro and graduated from North Attleboro High School in 1965. He lived for many years in Central Falls, RI.
Robert J. DeGrafft
ATTLEBORO - Robert J. DeGrafft, 57, of Attleboro, died unexpectedly at his residence on March 5, 2011.
Born in Attleboro on July 18, 1953, he was a son of Herbert S. DeGrafft of North Attleboro and the late Marion Mae (Wright) DeGrafft. Raised and educated in North Attleboro, he was a 1971 graduate of North Attleboro High School. He later attended Northeastern University in Boston.
Mr. DeGrafft was employed as a quality assurance engineer for Senior Aerospace in Sharon for ten years.
CUMBERLAND - Walter "Chick" Sullivan, 78, formerly of Hopkins Terrace, passed away February 28, 2011 in the Fawcett Memorial Hospital, Port Charlotte, FL. He was the husband of Geraldine A. (Pate) Sullivan and the late Elizabeth A. Carr.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Raymond and Gladys (Cameron) Sullivan. He resided in Port Charlotte, FL for the past 8 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Mr. Sullivan was a United States Army Veteran.
Margaret R. Vanasse
CUMBERLAND - Margaret R. "Peggy" Vanasse, 83, of Cumberland, died February 23rd at Miriam Hospital. She was the wife of the late Raymond F. Vanasse and a daughter of the late John C. and Flora A. (Departhy) Bradley. She had been employed as a molding machine operator for Hasbro Manufacturing prior to her retirement. Her sister Eileen Couturier of Cumberland, her brother Joseph Bradley of Cumberland and nieces and nephews survive her. She was the sister of the late George Bradley, John Bradley and Rosemarie Kieffer. Her funeral and burial were private.

MELVIN VILLAGE, N.H. - Edward (Ted) B. Hebden, 86 of Sodom Rd., Melvin Village died March 4, 2011 in Franklin, NH.
CUMBERLAND - Eufemia Constantino, 96, formerly of 109 High St. died Saturday in Waterview Villa, East Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Adelino Constantino.
Born in Esmolfe, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Secondina de Jesus Marques. She resided in Cumberland for 47 years. She was also a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
Edward A. McDonald
PAWTUCKET - Edward A. McDonald, 78, of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011. He was the husband of the late Agnes (Adam) McDonald. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Joseph and Edna (Johnson) McDonald. Mr McDonald was a lifelong resident of the city. He graduated from the East High School (Tolman) in 1952, where he was Swim Boy of the Year. He was a maintenance man for the former Haskell Co. of Pawtucket and later for the former Holiday of Attleboro, MA for several years before retiring. He was an air force veteran of the Korean War.
Luz Maria Sostre
In loving memory of Mrs. Luz Maria Sostre who passed away March 2nd 2011 at the age of 84. Mrs. Sostre was born on June 26th 1926 in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico.
Robert Leo Maitland
LINCOLN - Robert Leo Maitland, 91, of Lincoln died peacefully on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2011 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center after a two month illness.
Born in Pawtucket to Robert J. Maitland and Ellen (Fogarty) Maitland, he lived in Lincoln most of his life.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy M. (Walsh) Maitland and their two daughters, Joan E. Ayotte and Mary Ann Mayer.
