PAWTUCKET - Adela Lopez, 88, formerly of Coates Manor, passed away on Thursday at home & Hospice care of RI in Providence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Aguas Buenas, P.R. a daughter of the late Francisco Vasquez and Maria Alamos. She had lived in Pawtucket since 1992 and had been employed in area factories.
Loretta G. Cooper
CUMBERLAND - Loretta G. Cooper, 100, formerly of Diamond Hill Road, passed away in the Hebert Nursing Home on Thursday, April 21, 2011. She was wife of the late George R. Cooper.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Polydore and Emeline (Couture) Lajeunesse. She was a life-long Cumberland resident.
Mrs. Cooper was employed for several years as a clerk for the former Ann & Hope Stores of Cumberland.
She was a member of St. Aidan Seniors, and a communicant of the Historic St. Joseph Church, and most recently St. Aidan Church.
PAWTUCKET - Margarida Alexandre, age 95, of Dora St., a winder at the former Crown Spring Mill, died Tuesday afternoon at the Evergreen House in East Providence.
Born Aug. 31, 1915 in Moimenta daSerra, Gouveia,Lisbon, she was the last surviving child of the late Luciano Alexandre and Felicidade daCosta (Martins) Alexandre. She was a communicant of St. Anthony's Church.
LINCOLN - Fern (Andrews) Caldwell, 70, of Manville Avenue, Manville died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Landmark medical Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Harold G. and Ruth H. (McMinn) Andrews, she had lived in Cumberland for most of her life before moving to Manville 3 years ago.
Mrs. Caldwell was a shipping and receiving clerk for Hasbro, Inc., Pawtucket before retiring.
PAWTUCKET - Kenneth "Sarge" Velzis, 64, of Rhode Island Ave, passed April 17th at the VA Hospital.
He was the son of Rose (Delphe) Ousley and the late Edward J. Velzis.
Kenneth was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by two daughters, Gina Velzis and Colleen Wallace, a son, Kenneth Velzis Jr, four brothers, Edward, Richard, and Ronald Velzis and James Ousley and a sister, Sandra Ousley.
Francis M. Jordan
CRANSTON - Francis M. Jordan, 93, of Cranston died April 19, 2011 in Providence. He was the husband of Tina (Chernick) Jordan. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Nancy Hecker of Newport News VA. Mr. Jordan was the husband of the late Josephine (Mecchi) Jordan and the father of the late Mark A. Jordan
Mr. Jordan was born in Pawtucket the son of the late Aiden and Jane Jordan.
PAWTUCKET - William Jankura, 84, of Pawtucket, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011. He was the husband of the late Henrietta (Beauchemin) Jankura. Born in Plainfield, New Jersey, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Conlon) Jankura.
Dorothy M. Andrews
CUMBERLAND - Dorothy M. (Thompson) Andrews, 85, of Meadow Avenue passed away surrounded by her loving family Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Warren C. Andrews.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Malcolm E. and Elizabeth P. (Montgomery) Thompson, she had lived in Cumberland and was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church for the past 57 years. She was previously employed by Hasbro in the toy industry. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, knitting, and hosting her family at home.
Evo J. Donnini
WOONSOCKET - Evo J. "Curly" Donnini, 93, formerly of Cato St., Woonsocket, died Wednesday evening at The Villages at Waterman Lake in Greenville. He was the husband of the late Martha (Nytka) (Oliveira) Donnini.
Born and raised in Manville, he was a son of the late Gino "Ciro" and Josephine (Pialunga) Donnini. He was a resident of Woonsocket for most of his life.
Mr. Donnini served in the Army during WWII. He was an instructor in radio and landing operations for the Army Air Corps and was discharged with the rank of Sergeant.
Amy R. Letourneau
WARWICK - Amy Renee Letourneau, 37, of Warwick, RI, passed away suddenly April 12, 2011.Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Rene L. Letourneau and the late Nancy H.(Hoyt) Letourneau. Besides her father she leaves her step-mother Judy Letourneau, her brother Damon Letourneau and her friend William Dinges. Visitation Wednesday 10:30AM - 11:00AM with a memorial service to follow at 11:00AM in the Winfield & Sons Funeral Home, 571 West Greenville Rd., (Rt. 116), Scituate.

PAWTUCKET - Michele Ann Rathbun, 58, of Pine Street, passed away Thursday at home after an illness.
Born in Providence a daughter of the late Earl and Ramona (Allen) Vangilder. She has lived in Pawtucket for the last 20 years and had been employed as a CNA.
She leaves 3 daughters, Anne, Nina and Ramona Dawn Whitaker all of Pawtucket. She also leaves a sister Lynn Rogers of CT. and 2 brothers, Earl Vangilder of CA. and F. Allen Vangilder of Pawtucket and seven Grandchildren. Condolences,

CUMBERLAND. Pauline G. Chabot, 88, formerly of Central Falls, Passed into eternal rest on Thursday after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald R. Chabot.
EAST PROVIDENCE - Annie Zide, 96, of East Providence passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2011. She was the wife of the late George Zide. She is survived by a daughter Ann Ryan of Worcester. Maria C. Pinhancos
CUMBERLAND - Maria C. Pinhancos, 93, of Prospect St. passed away Wednesday in the R. I. Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Eduardo Pinhancos.
Born in Freixo daSerra, Gouveia, Portugal she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Maria A. (Saraiva) Marmelo. She came to this country in 1966 settling in Cumberland.
She had worked in the textile industry for many years at various area mills until her retirement.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
Donna L. Smith
LINCOLN - Donna L. Gilkenson-Smith, 62 died Wednesday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Attleboro, Ma. She is survived by her significant other Larry Goucher.
Born in Pawtucket a daughter of Ruth (Jefferson) Gilkenson of Lincoln and the late Raymond Gilkenson. She lived in Mansfield, Ma. for the past thirty-four years.
She was a registered nurse at the VA Hospital, West Roxbury, Ma. for the past thirty-eight years.
Florence M. Perron
LINCOLN - Florence M. Perron, 92, passed away April 14, 2011. She was the wife of the late Alfred L. Perron. Born in North Providence, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Laura Lefebvre. Mrs. Perron was a long time communicant of Holy Spirit Parish in Central Falls. She enjoyed playing bingo at The Holiday in Manville, where she resided.
HANOVER, PA - Annette Piette Bledsoe, 51, passed peacefully Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of Ray Lee Bledsoe for 18 years.
Born March 15, 1960 in Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Leah (Desmarais) Piette.
Annette received her bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from Rhode Island College. She was self-employed as a Sign Language Interpreter for 7 years. Annette was a member of NIC Master Interpreter, RIDS and V.P. of Compudoc of Hanover. She also operated a website called FidosCorner.com.
Jared M. Audette
CUMBERLAND - Jared M. Audette, 37, of Diamond Hill Road died unexpectedly Monday, April 11, 2011 at home. Born in Claremont, NH, the beloved son of Lucille C. (Benoit) Gince of Cumberland and Ronald M. Audette of Lincoln, he had lived in Cumberland for most of his life.
He was a 1993 graduate of Cumberland High School.
Sabelle E. Armstrong
PAWTUCKET - Sabelle Elizabeth (Saliba) Armstrong, age 95, of 26 Littlefield St., wife of the late James W. Armstrong, died Sunday April 10, 2011 at home surrounded by her family and friends.
Born April 3, 1916, in Barre, VT, she was a daughter of the late Warden and Annie (Jaffa) Saliba and lived in RI most of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine E. Thibeault and her son, William J. Armstrong, both of Pawtucket; her grandchildren, Sandra Pelletier and Michael Frenche of Pawtucket; 3 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
