G. Eileen Dickey
CUMBERLAND - G. Eileen Dickey, 90, of Cumberland, died Thursday at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in the Valley Falls section of Cumberland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas W. and Sarah (Morgan) Dickey.
Miss Dickey was employed as a machine operator for Hindley Manufacturing for many years prior to her retirement in 1986. She was an avid sports person and animal lover.
Ann M. McBride
PAWTUCKET - Ann M. McBride, 90, formerly of Pawtucket died October 3, 2011 in Florida.
Mrs. McBride was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Jacob and Maria (LaSalla) Day. She was a secretary at the Memorial Hospital in Pawtucket for over twenty five years.
Mrs. McBride is survived by her son Ronald Mandolfi and his wife Stella of Delray Beach, Florida. She also leaves her granddaughter Lori Ann Mandolfi of Lincoln, her great grandchildren Meagan and Emily O'Connor and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Joseph Mandolfi.
CUMBERLAND - Joaquim "Jack" Patricio, 83, of Castle Gate Road died Tuesday,October 4, 2011 at Life Care Center of Attleboro, Attleboro, MA. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Griffin) Patricio.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Jose and Maria (Cabral) Patricio, he had lived in Cumberland for the past 50 years.
Mr. Patricio was the Vice President of Operations for the former Paramount Press,Lincoln for 30 years, retiring in 1987.
He was a World War II Navy Veteran, and he was a communicant of St. Aidan's Church, Cumberland.
Jacqueline E. Gadziala
PAWTUCKET - Jacqueline E. Gadziala 81, of the John E. Fogarty Manor Roosevelt Avenue passed away Friday September 30, 2011 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry J. Gadziala Sr.
Born in Pawtucket she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Blanche (Hamel) Lanoue. She was a life long resident of Pawtucket.
Before retiring she was employed by the former Mc Connell and Carpenter Jewelry Co. as an Accounts Payable Clerk.
Mrs. Gadziala was a member of the Fogarty Manor Tenants Association.
Madeline A. Ramos
SEEKONK - Madeline Alice Ramos, 79, of Seekonk, MA, passed away Tuesday, October 04, 2011. She was the wife of Fernando Ramos.
PAWTUCKET - Angienne Figueroa, 34, of Coyle Avenue, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday after an illness. She was born in Mayaguez, PR, a daughter of Jose Figueroa of Boston and the late Awilda Cuba. She previously lived in Central Falls.
Besides her father she leaves a son, Anthony Figueroa and a daughter Dilana Morel; she also leaves 3 sisters, Awilda Figueroa of W. Warwick, Liliana Figueroa and Leslie Figueroa of Fall River, 3 brothers Jose of Boston and Jose and Cano Figueroa both of Fall River, a Granddaughter, nieces and nephews.
Raymond W. Johnson, Jr.
NORTH ATTLEBORO - Raymond W. Johnson, Jr., 77, of North Attleboro, a leading metallurgist and business co-founder, died on Friday. Husband of Flora L. (Hoyt) Johnson.
CUMBERLAND - Bernadette Obuchon (Lagrandeur), 77, of Garden St., died Saturday at Bayberry Commons, Pascoag. She was the beloved wife of the late Roland A. Obuchon.
Born in St. Anne De La Rochelle, P.Q., Canada she was the daughter of the late Jean M. and Alberta (Casavant) Lagrandeur. She had resided in Cumberland for over 54 years.
She was employed by the Ann & Hope Co., Cumberland for many years until her retirement.
She was a communicant of St. Aidan Church,Cumberland.
Americo P. Ambrosio
PAWTUCKET - Americo P. Ambrsio, 72, of McCabe Ave. died Sunday surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Aldina C. (Alves) Ambrosio.
Born in Fornos, Algodres, Portugal he was the son of the Luis and Maria J. (Lopes)Ambrosio. He came to this country in 1975 living in Cumberland for three years and moved to Pawtucket in 1978.
He was employed by the North East Cable Corp., South Attleboro for 30 years until his retirement.
Carol L. Choches-O'Brien
SOUTH KINGSTOWN - A MEMORIAL RECEPTION "Carol's Smile" was held Sunday, September 11, 2011 at the South Kingstown Land Trust, Wakefield, RI for Carol L. Choches-O'Brien who passed away August 25 at home.
Born August 24, 1954 and raised in Pawtucket, a cherished daughter of Lillian M. and the late Walter S. Choches. She was the beloved wife of 36 years to Stephen B. O'Brien.
Louisa A. Goncalves
CENTRAL FALLS - Louisa A. Goncalves, 85, of Blackstone Falls passed away Saturday after an illness. She was the wife of the late Alvaro Goncalves.
She was born in the Medeira Islands, Portugal a daughter of the late Joa and Olinda(Teixeira) Agrela. She has lived in the US for the last 45 years. She had been employed at the former Conrad-Jarvis Co. for several years.
John F. Wall Jr.
CUMBERLAND - John F. Wall Jr., 87, of Cumberland Street passed away Friday at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center,Providence, surrounded by his loving family. Happily married for 62 years, he was the husband of Estelle (LaRose) Wall.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John F. Wall Sr. and Margaret V. (Burns) Wall. He was a life-long Cumberland resident.
He was a United States Army Air Corps, World War II veteran. He was an active member of the Rhode Island Air National Guard from 1958 to 1961.
CUMBERLAND - Joseph Brunelle, 76, of Cumberland, died Friday at Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the husband of the late Ann M. (Corrigan) Brunelle and the son of the late Amos V. and Marie (Melia) Brunelle. He was employed by the Town of Cumberland for 20 years as a Director of the Finance Dept. until his retirement in 1996.
He was an Army veteran.
John Edward Harrison
LINCOLN - John Edward Harrison, 97, of Lower River Road, Lincoln passed away Friday in the Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket. He was the husband of Margaret (Gormley) Harrison, they had been married for 67 years.
Born in North Smithfield, he was the son of the late John T. and Selma (Simoneau)Harrison. He resided in Lincoln for the past 50 years, previously residing in North Providence and Burrilville.
LAKELAND, FL - Larna Cummins, formerly of Riverside, RI and the beloved wife of Robert Cummins for 44 years, passed away on August 31 in Lakeland Florida.
She leaves her mother Dorothy Azevdo, her son Daniel Cummins, grandchildren Daniel and Michael Cummins, a sister Laura Mae Shelburn, brothers Ed and John Azevdo and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was the sister of the late Nita Andressen.
Richard J. Joseph
PAWTUCKET - Richard "Rich" J. Joseph, who would have celebrated his 39th birthday on Sunday, passed away last Monday from an apparent heart attack, in Nantucket.
He was born in Pawtucket, a son of Richard Joseph and Linda (Greenwood) Daigle and step-son of William Daigle of Lincoln. Richard was a self-employed landscaper and was educated and lived most of his life in Lincoln.
Michael W. Newman
Michael W. Newman, 56 of Pawtucket died Tuesday, September 27 at Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Central Falls he was the son of the late Henry and Lillian (Shaw) Newman. He was a Pawtucket resident his entire life.
Debra J. Spooner
JOHNSTON - Debra "Debbie" J. Spooner, 51, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 30, 2011. She was the beloved fiancĂ©e of Michael Desrosiers with whom she resided. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Raymond J., Sr. and Sonia N. (Austin) Spooner, she resided in Johnston since 2005. Debbie had been a Customer Service Representative at Bank of America.
David C. Higgins, Sr.
LINCOLN - David C. Higgins, Sr., 78, of Smithfield Avenue, died Tuesday, September 27, at the Philip Hulitar In-Patient Center, Providence. He was the former husband of the late Joan Preston Smith.
Born in Saylesville, a son of the late Theodore R. and Marion (Chace) Higgins, he was a lifelong resident of Lincoln.
Mr. Higgins worked as a wire drawer for Collyer Wire, and later as a security guard at Roger Williams Park, Providence.
He was a Korean War veteran, serving in the U.S. Army 1st Cavalry, 5th Infantry Division.
Rita J. Dusza
PAWTUCKET - Rita J. Dusza 80, formerly of Field Street passed away Saturday September 24, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Matthew Dusza.
Born in Providence she was a daughter of the late Peter and Meri (Ramutenas) Mazika. She lived in Pawtucket most of her life.
Before retiring she was employed by The United Food Co. of Pawtucket as a Packer.
Mrs. Dusza leaves 1 brother Alex E. Mazika of Cranston and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Walter and James Losiewicz and the sister of the late Peter,William and Walter Mazika.
