Margaret M. Olbrych
PAWTUCKET - Margaret M. (Crowley) Olbrych, R.N., 85, passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Henry J. Olbrych.
Born in Providence, the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Margaret A. (Greenwood) Crowley, she resided in Pawtucket since 1931. Mrs. Olbrych was a 1947 graduate of the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse at Notre Dame Hospital, Central Falls for six years until retiring in 1987, and was previously a Registered Nurse at Memorial Hospital for many years.
Wanda F. MacTavish
PAWTUCKET - Wanda F.(Korsak) MacTavish, 88, formerly of Rosemont Ave., Pawtucket, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011 at the Orchard View Manor, East Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Alfred MacTavish. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late John and Michalina (Stecewicz) Korsak. Wanda was a hostess at the Turks Head Club, Providence for twenty-two years before retiring in 1991, and was previously a hostess at the Colstone Pancake House, North Attleboro, Massachusetts.
Richard W. Doiron, Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Richard W. Doiron, Sr., 69, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 26, 2011. He was the beloved husband of the late Glender C. (Burdick) Doiron. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Roger Doiron and Palma (Caro) DeStefanis. Richard was a US Army, Vietnam War veteran. He had worked for the City of Pawtucket prior to working as a mosquito control specialist for the State of Florida.
Joseph R. Morris, III
GLOUCESTER - Joseph R. Morris, III, 43, of Chestnut Oak Rd., Chepachet, passed away Saturday June 25, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Kristin E. (Phillips) Morris. Born in Central Falls, a son of Joseph R. Morris, Jr. of Jamestown and the late Sheila A. (Parker) Morris, as well as a loving step mother, Carol A. Morris of Jamestown.
Joe was the co-owner and Vice President of Morris Roofing Solutions, Inc.
N. SMITHFIELD - Gertrude Macksoud, 100, formerly of Pawtucket, died Tuesday at St. Antoine Residence, N. Smithfield. She was the wife of the late Joseph C. Macksoud and a daughter of the late George and Hermenegile (Allard) Marceau. She was employed by Robertson Rayon Mfg. Co. for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1978.
Bernard M. Partridge
PAWTUCKET - Bernard M. "Mickey" Partridge of Dora Street, Pawtucket, died June 24, 2011 under Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island. He was born in Pawtucket, the beloved son of the late Edward M. and Ruth M. (Carroll) Partridge.
While serving his country by doing a tour of Vietnam in the U.S. Army, he attained the rank of Sergeant. Upon returning home, he worked as a welder for Electric Boat in Quonset Point for many years.
PAWTUCKET - Hermengarda (Pereira) daSilva, age 95, passed away at home June 26, 2011. She was the wife of the late Inacio Pinto daSilva.
PAWTUCKET -Walter Gravello, 87, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Avis P. (Nicholson) Gravello for sixty-three years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alex and Rose (Fostyk) Gravello.
Florence L. Cooke
PAWTUCKET - Florence L. (PAULL) "Shorty" Cooke, 86 died Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. Married to Joseph D. Cooke, they celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on June 6. Born in Taunton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late John and Elva (Bassette) Paull.
Nicholas R. Magnuski
PAWTUCKET - Nicholas R. Magnuski, of Broad Street, Pawtucket died Sunday, June 19, 2011 at home.
Mr. Magnuski was born in Newport, the son of Raymond J. Magnuski Sr. and Josephine (Pasquale) Magnuski, both of Pawtucket. He was a self employed in the telephone marketing business for many years.
Besides his parents, Mr. Magnuski is survived by his brother, Raymond J. Magnuski Jr. of Pawtucket.
Catherine Hunt Dube
GLENMOORE, PA - Catherine Hunt Dube, 92, of Glenmoore, PA, formerly of Cumberland, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown, PA.
She was the beloved wife of the late A. Maurice Dube, with whom she shared 46 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1986.
Born in Central Falls, Catherine was the daughter of the late Michael and Honora (nee Hunt) Hunt. She lived in Cumberland for 46 years before moving to PA to live with her daughter Cathy and her family.
Anthony J. Peluso, Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Anthony J. Peluso, Jr., 78, died Saturday at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He is the husband of Joyce (Rasmussem) Peluso. Born in North Providence, Anthony is the son of the late Anthonio J. and Lillian (DiGuileo) Peluso. Prior to moving to Pawtucket 11 years ago, he was a resident of Seekonk, MA for 40 years.
Anthony is a Korean War Veteran and prior to his retirement he was a self-employed tile and marble setter.
Glenna Lorena Carr
Glenna Lorena (Wilkinson) Carr, 80, of Freight St. died Saturday at Memorial Hospital of RI. She was the wife of the late Joseph L. Carr.
Born in Londonderry, NH, she was a daughter of the late William H. and Eunice (Brown) Wilkinson and was a resident of Pawtucket since 1943. She was a Laundress for over 17 years retiring in 1996.
Jennie "Jean" Holmes
PAWTUCKET - Jennie "JEAN" Holmes 100, formerly of School Street passed away Sunday June 12, 2011 at the Pawtucket Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Allan R. Holmes.
Born in Kingston, PA she was a daughter of the late John and Josephine (Osmulska) Krevosky. She lived in Pawtucket for the past 75 years.
Before retiring she was employed at the former H & B Machine Shop for 30 years and prior to that she was employed as a Textile Worker and Cook.
Alberta E. Bourassa
PAWTUCKET - Alberta E. Bourassa, 90 of Pawtucket died Tuesday at the Hopkins Manor Nursing Home in North Providence. Born in Pawtucket Alberta was the daughter of the late Herbert and Anna (Monty) Bourassa. She was a Pawtucket resident her entire life.
Prior to her retirement in 1969, Alberta worked at Adams Jewelry in Pawtucket.
She leaves one sister, Lillian Begin of North Providence; and a niece, Ann Marie Wallich of North Providence.
She was the sister of the late Armandine Bourassa, Lauretta Bourassa and Marion Flynn.
Susanna J. Kelley-Magill
JOHNSTON - Susanna J. "Susan" Kelley-Magill, 93, of Johnston formerly of Pawtucket, died Monday at Briarcliffe Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Francis L. Kelley and Robert A. Magill. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Antonina N. (Spiec) Kuc.
She was employed as a secretary at Lincoln Junior-Senior High School for 12 years prior to her retirement in 1980. She had been a volunteer at Memorial Hospital and a member of St. Aidan's and St. Teresa's Senior Citizens.
Ronald J. McCormack
PAWTUCKET - Ronald J. McCormack died suddenly on Wednesday June 15, 2011 at home. He was 56 years old. He was the beloved son of Joan W. McCormack of Pawtucket, nephew of Patricia Whitaker of Franklin, MA and had several nieces and nephews. He was a life long resident of Pawtucket and a 37 year State of RI employee. He had attended Woodlawn Baptist Church. There are no calling hours and the funeral will be private.
