REHOBOTH - Diane E. (Coe) Correia, 67, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 26, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Correia. Born in Taunton, a daughter of the late Herbert and Hattie (Britton) Coe, she resided in Pawtucket most of her life before moving to Rehoboth in1998. Diane was a quality control inspector at Hasbro until retiring. She loved NASCAR and was a member of the Rehoboth Senior Center.
Michael D. Harrison
Michael D. Harrison, 62, of Pawtucket passed at the Memorial Hospital on May 11, 2011.
Born in Pawtucket and a lifelong resident, he was the son of Edmund J. and Yvette T. (DeBlois) Harrison of Pawtucket.
Michael was a computer programmer at Amica Insurance prior to illness. He was also the former Director of Music at St. Mark's Church in North Attleboro, MA, an organist at the Cathedral of Sts. Peter & Paul, Providence, RI, and taught piano and organ privately.
WOONSOCKET - Angela (Buoncristiani) McAlice, 81, passed away peacefully Tuesday afternoon at The Friendly Home in Woonsocket after her family said goodbye. She was the widow of the late Charles I. McAlice.
Born on September 25, 1929 in Fall River, MA to Faustino and Theresa (Martini) Buoncristiani, Angela lived in Pawtucket most of her life before retiring first to Cumberland and then Woonsocket.
PROVIDENCE - Ruth Richardson, 82, of Providence, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Sullivan) Richardson. Ruth had lived in Cranston and Providence most of her life. She was the beloved sister of the late Mary A. Richardson and Henry Richardson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10am in Saint Joseph Church, Walcott Street, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Mount Saint Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket. Alice E. Goryl
CUMBERLAND - Alice E. Goryl, 90 formerly of 1 Mendon Road, passed away Monday in Elmhurst Extended Care, Providence.
Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Wenek) Goryl. She was a lifelong resident of Cumberland.
She was formerly a Supervisor for the former Owens Corning Fiberglass, Cumberland retiring in 1972.
She is survived by many nieces, nephews; great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph Gorrall; Ben Goryl; Theodore Goryl; Anita Goryl and Stella Soscia.
Theresa H. Casey
SEEKONK - Theresa H. (Boucher) Casey, 85, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 23, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late George W. Casey.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Donalda (Lemire) Boucher, she resided in Seekonk since 1952. Theresa was a square dancer and a member of the Pearl Promenaders for many years.
Caroline L. Tucker
LINCOLN - Caroline L. (Campbell) Tucker, 96, of Lincoln, died Friday, May 20, 2011 in Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the wife of the late Richard Tucker. Born in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Neill) Campbell.
Mrs. Tucker worked as an Office Manager for several local companies and she also played professional softball.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother John Campbell and her sister Elizabeth Newsom.
John J. Connly
CUMBERLAND - John J. "Jack" Connly, 77 passed away Monday in R.I. Hospital Providence, surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of the late Lorraine M. (Biron) Connly.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Ambrose W. and Margaret J. (McManus) Connly. He resided in Cumberland for the past two years previously residing in Providence.
He was employed as a Computer Operator Supervisor for the State of Rhode Island Department of Labor and Training for 35 years, retiring in 1985.
Ruth L. Gannites
LINCOLN - Ruth L. Gannites, 83, of Lincoln, died Friday at RI Hospital. She was the wife of George Gannites (former Chief of the Limerock Fire Dept.) Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Mildred (Brady) Noelte. Mrs. Gannites had been employed by the Town of Lincoln School Lunch program prior to her retirement in 1975.
Edmond M. Metivier
HUDSON, FL - Edmond M. Metivier, 82, of Hudson, Florida, and formerly of Pawtucket died Friday, May 20, 2011 in Florida. He was the husband of the late Josephine (Castro) Metivier.
Mr. Metivier was born in Pawtucket the son of the late Henry and Marie Louise(Salois) Metivier. He was a Veteran in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean War and then served as a Fireman in the City of Pawtucket for over 25 years.
Mr. Metivier is survived by a brother, Paul Metivier in Narragansett. He also leaves a niece, Joanne Needham of Pawtucket.
Kenneth E. Joseph
PAWTUCKET - Kenneth E. "Ken" Joseph, 79, passed away peacefully, May 22, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Joan M. (Whitman) Joseph. Born in Northbridge, MA, he was the son of the late Edward and Albertina (Girouard) Joseph. Ken was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was the proprietor of the Attleboro Bowlerdrome. He also worked security at Hasbro in Pawtucket for 20 years. Ken was a member of the Attleboro Elks Lodge.
Mary Carolyn Hart-Zipser
PAWTUCKET- Mary Carolyn (Coutu) Hart-Zipser, 83, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2011. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Donat and Frances (Murray) Coutu.
Mary was an educator, entrepreneur, actress and writer.
MERRITT ISLAND, FL - Frank Iwuc, 89, passed away Monday May 23, 2011 in Merritt Island. He was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island. Frank moved to Merritt Island in 1967.
He worked with the Space Program. Frank was a Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a member of Divine Mercy Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Stasia K. Iwuc, parents Bronislaw and Adolfina Iwuc, sister Lottie Byrnes, brother Joseph Iwuc, sisters Jane Zielinski, Jessie Jendzejec, and brother Edward Iwuc.
Karl E. Fitzgerald
PAWTUCKET - Karl E. Fitzgerald 47 of Branch St. died Friday at Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. He was the fiancÃ© of Gladys Olni.
Born in Providence a son of Doris (Houle) Duarte of Pawtucket and the late Edward Fitzgerald. He was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket.
Karl was an avid fisherman.
Ralph P. Greenwood
SEEKONK - Ralph P. Greenwood, a lifelong resident of Seekonk, died Monday,May 23, 2011. He was the husband of Barbara (Pollard) Greenwood. Born in Ashville, NC. He is survived by his daughters, Marsha (Andrew) Thompson of Ocala, FL, Carol F. Greenwood of Seekonk and Donna (Jay) Kmiec of Attleboro; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Helen Greenwood and Norma Dingley.
Eleonore R. Kelly
PAWTUCKET - Eleonore R. "Lore" (Spitzbarth) Kelly, 86, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 21, 2011. Eleonore was the beloved wife of the late John T. Kelly.
Born in Rehau, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Johann and Yette (Hollering) Spitzbarth. Eleonore had worked for the Rhode Island State Lunch Program and was a past Secretary and Vice President of the AFSCME, Local # 2872. She leaves one daughter, Andrea L. Kelly and her husband Brian of Cumberland and two grandchildren, Jonathan and Kara Kelly both of Cumberland.
Albert P. Vaslet
PAWTUCKET - Senator Albert P. Vaslet, 85, died Sunday, at Philip Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of his beloved Helen M. (Nixon) Vaslet to whom he had been married for over 51 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was ason of the late Albert P and Lillian (Garlick) Vaslet and was a lifelong resident of the City.
Anna M. Mulvey
EAST PROVIDENCE - Anna M. Mulvey, 84, of Rumford, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011. She was the wife of the late Albert Mulvey.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Bridget (Madigan) Hogan.
Mrs. Mulvey had lived in Pawtucket before moving to Rumford 45 years ago. Anna was a sales clerk for Ann & Hope of Cumberland for many years before retiring.
Susan M. Jack
SEEKONK - Susan M. (Tatarian) Jack, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the Seekonk Fire Chief, Alan R. Jack for 23 years.
Born in Attleboro, a daughter of the late Peter J. and Rita L. (Boule) Tatarian, she resided in North Attleboro, Plainville and Rehoboth before moving to Seekonk five years ago.
Susan served in multiple capacities for over thirty years at various local YMCA's, most recently at the Seekonk YMCA. She was deeply involved with the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
