Thomas W. Lawson
PAWTUCKET - Thomas W. Lawson, 72, of Broadway passed away Wednesday August 10, 2011 at his home. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Frederick and Jean (Davies) Lawson.
Mr. Lawson was an Acid Etcher for Foxon Packaging for 21 years, retiring in 1995. He served in The United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of Lafayette Club in Pawtucket.
Diana L. Brassard
LINCOLN - Diana L. Brassard 95, of Lincoln, died Monday at Summit Commons, Providence. She was the wife of the late Arthur Brassard. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Isaie and Adeline (Paquette) Berard. She was an avid knitter and crocheter.
Mrs. Brassard is survived by her son Jean Brassard and his wife Rachel of Attleboro, her daughter Jeannine Fichter of Lafayette CO and 3 grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Armand, Leo, Romeo and Oscar Berard, Jeannette Kubacki, Rose Beauchemin and Anita Brassard.
Albert D. Burgoyne
CENTRAL FALLS - Albert D. Burgoyne, "Al" 74, passed August 13th with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Constance R. (Tougas) Burgoyne.
Al was the son of the late James and Ivy (Beardsworth) Burgoyne.
He had been employed as a Postal Letter Carrier for 27 years before retiring in 1998.
Al served in the United States Air Force.
Anna M. Rene
PAWTUCKET - Anna M. Rene, 93 of Pawtucket died Saturday at Oak Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Nelson H. Rene, Sr. Born in Central Falls she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Nawashardla) Solotki. She was a Pawtucket resident all of her life.
Prior to Anna's retirement in 1980 she worked as an inspector at the Hope Webbing Company in Pawtucket for 40 years.
Joshua D. Wildenhain
RIVERSIDE - Joshua D. Wildenhain, of Earl Avenue, Riverside passed away Wednesday, August 10, 2011. He was born in Pawtucket the son of Michael and Sheila J. (Marland) Wildenhain of Riverside.
Mr. Wildenhain was a student at Providence College. He had finished his junior year and was looking forward to his graduation in the spring of 2012.
Besides his parents Joshua leaves a brother Christopher Wildenhain of Riverside and his paternal grandparents David A. and Marceline Wildenhain. He was the grandson of the late Harold and Rita (Bradshaw) Marland.
PAWTUCKET - Alcides Soares, 46, passed August 11th.
He was the son of Jose P. and Jovita (Neves) Soares.
Alcides was employed by Donovan Plumbing for many years.
He is survived by his son, Quincy Soares, three brothers, Joe Soares, Tony Soares and John Soares, a sister, Rosa Osborne and several nieces and nephews.
Rita M. Lacourse
PAWTUCKET - Rita M. Lacourse, 88, of Pawtucket, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011. She was the beloved and devoted wife of Maurice Lacourse. They were happily married for sixty four years. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Emma (Girouard) Girouard. She had lived in Central Falls for twenty four years before moving to Pawtucket in 1950.
Annette Z. Valliere
PAWTUCKET - Annette Z. Valliere, 88 died on Wednesday at Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket. Born in Pawtucket and a resident of the city for nearly sixty years, she was the wife of the late Donat Valliere and the daughter of the late Emile and Maria (St. Denis) Baril. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia Church, a devoted homemaker and enjoyed gardening.
Louise V.A. Giuntini
PAWTUCKET - Louise V.A. (Perry) Giuntini, 93, of Pawtucket, died peacefully on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the St. Jeanne Jugan Residence. Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Harold J. Perry and Anna L. (Flanagan) Perry, she was the wife of the late Ivano C. Giuntini.
Ronald E. Sabatini
PAWTUCKET - Ronald E. Sabatini, of Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket died August 8, 2011. He was the husband of the late Lucille (Demazeux) Sabatini.
Mr. Sabatini was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late Reno and Mildred (Oldrid) Sabatini. He was an assembler for International Display for many years.
Sue McConaughey, 83, of Rumford, RI died Monday, August 1, 2011, at home with her family.
Margaret A. Rivard
PAWTUCKET - Margaret "Peggy" A. (Steakem) Rivard, 81, passed away Saturday,August 6, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert J. Rivard for 56 years. Born in Bronx, NY, the daughter of the late James and Margaret (O'Rourke) Steakem, she moved to Pawtucket in 1940.
Dorothy Mitson, 73, passed away on August 3, 2011 surrounded by Family. She was the Daughter of the late Lida Howard Olson and Frederick Howard of Providence. She is survived by 4 Daughters: Julie Wilcox, Linda Gomes, Nancy Theroux, and Patricia Robinson. 10 Grandchildren: Lynn Gomes, Jessica Diaz, Paul Gomes, Kenneth Wilcox, Stephanie Wilcox-Danna, Robert Diaz, Kerstin Robinson, David Robinson, Nathan Wilcox, Rebecca Wilcox, and 4 Great Grandchildren.
CENTRAL FALLS - Josephine Jamro 91 formerly of Cross Street passed away Saturday August 6, 2011 Oak Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Waldemore J. "PEE WEE" Jamro.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Walter and Rozalia Jagielo.
Before retiring she was a co-owner with her late husband of the former Joe's Caf of Central Falls. Mrs. Jamro enjoyed gardening and sewing.
Raymond E. Clement, Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Raymond E. Clement, Sr., 79, of Greeley Street died Sunday, August 7, 2011 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of June A. (Scullin) Clement.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Harry M. and Serena H. (Meikle) Clement.
Darrell P. Norris
SOUTH ATTLEBORO - Darrell P. Norris, 31, passed into eternal life on Wednesday. He was the devoted husband of Donna M. (Bishop) Norris whom he married last January 1st.
Darrell was born in Pawtucket a son of Julia A. (Tager) Norris. He was educated in Central Falls and upon moving to So. Attleboro completed his education at Attleboro High School. He was a avid New England sports fan, cheering on the Red Sox, the Patriots, the Bruins and the Celtics. Darrell also enjoyed cooking and playing his Play Station 3 and especially enjoyed his trips to Twin River.
William D. Slattery, Jr.
PAWTUCKET - William D. Slattery, Jr., 80, of Pawtucket and Narragansett, died peacefully at Rhode Island Hospital on Thursday, August 4, 2011. Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late William D. Slattery, Sr. and Katherine A. (Toomey) Slattery. He was the beloved husband of Barbara A. (Rudolph) Slattery.
