Ida I. Pelletier
ALBION - Ida I. Pelletier, 90, of Franklin St. Lincoln, formerly of School St., Albion died Thursday September 11, 2014 at Home & Hospice Care of RI Philip Hulitar Center in Providence. She was the loving wife of the late Lucien J. Pelletier who passed away on July 5, 2013.
Born in Richmond, Virginia she was a daughter of the late Walker and Etta (Klein) Floyd. She was raised in Ocean View, Virginia and graduated from Granby High School in Norfolk, Virginia.
Elaine T. DiAngelo
SEEKONK - Elaine T. (Rhodes) DiAngelo, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Floyd "Don" V. DiAngelo for 38 years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Irene (Whalen) Rhodes.
CENTRAL FALLS - Paula (Ziochouski) Mongeau, 65, passed away Sunday September 7, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital.
Born in Central Falls she was a beloved daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Norek) Ziochouski. She lived in Warwick for the past 5 years and was formerly of Johnston and Central Falls.
Before retiring Paula was employed as a Meat Wrapper and Deli Clerk for the former Almacs Supermarkets.
Pearl M. Malone
PAWTUCKET - Pearl M. Malone, 89, formerly of Pawtucket died on September 11, 2014.
She was the wife of the late Daniel T. Malone.
Mrs. Malone was born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late James Wood and Susan (Wynn) Wood. She was an inspector at Allied Chemical for many years.
Pearl is survived by her daughters; Susan Boyce and Pearl Cartier. She also leaves her stepchildren; Daniel T. Malone Jr., and his wife Dana and Carol Dufresne.
Mrs. Malone had eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson.
LINCOLN - Thomas Collins, "Tom" 89, passed on September 11th peacefully at home with his family. He was the son of the late James and Marcella Collins. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Rita (LaFountaine) Collins. Tom was a member of Army Air Corp and served in the Pacific during World War II. He had been employed by Harvest Bread for many years and retired from Wonder Bread in Providence. Both Tom and Rita were co-founders of the ARC of Blackstone Valley.
PAWTUCKET - William Lussier, "Bill" 70, passed on September 4th.
Born in Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Oreme and Delia (Pelletier) Lussier. He resided most of his life in Pawtucket and Central Falls and recently resided at Kennedy Manor. He loved listening to music, especially Elvis.
Bill is survived by a sister, Beatrice Emery, of Lincoln, a brother, Richard Lussier and his wife Lillian of Pawtucket and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Doris Beaulier Alexion and Leo Lussier.
Ryan J. Fernandes
CUMBERLAND - Ryan J. Fernandes, 26, passed away Tuesday in the R.I. Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved son of Carleen (Ribeiro) Correia of Cumberland and Joseph Fernandes of South Attleboro.
Ryan was a self employed Computer Technician for a number of years. He enjoyed the Art's, Music and Tattoos, however his greatest love was time spent with his daughter and family.
CUMBERLAND - Manuel Silva, 89, of High St., passed away Monday at the home of his daughter, Patucinia "Pat" Martell. He was the beloved husband of the late Aurora (Lourenco) Silva.
Born in Fall River he was the son of the late Jaime and Marie (Campos) Silva. He resided in Cumberland for most of his life.
He was a steel worker, employed by Lincoln Dementional Tube, Lincoln for 35 years until his retirement in 1987.
Ralph J. Skurka Sr.
CUMBERLAND - Ralph J. Skurka Sr., 63 of Main St. passed away Monday, September 8th at home. He was the beloved husband of Karen R. (Tolman) Skurka. They had been married for the past 41 years.
Born in Central Falls he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Amy (Buckley) Skurka Sr. He was a life long Cumberland resident.
PAWTUCKET - Aguinaldo Dolivramento, "Gui" 76, passed on September 3rd at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Francelina (Gomes) Dolivramento. Born in Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, a son of the late Emanuel D. and Emilia (Lopes) Dolivramento.
He had been employed by the City of Pawtucket and Providence School Departments. He was also employed by BB Greenburger.
Henry V. Genest
ATTLEBORO - Henry "Hank" V. Genest, 68, formerly of Greenfield St., Seekonk, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 4, 2014. Born in Quebec, Canada, he was a son of the late Henry J. and Nellie M. (Penney) Genest. Hank was a United States Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was the proprietor of Hank's Garage on Case St., Seekonk for many years. He enjoyed spoiling his nieces and nephews, taking them out to dinner often and teaching them how to fish and boat.
Joseph A. Olivier
SOUTH ATTLEBORO - Joseph A. Olivier, 85, a retired proofreader, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Joan M. (Dunn) Olivier. Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Bruno and Marie Blanche (Lessard) Olivier.
Joe resided in Central Falls until moving to South Attleboro in 1995. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran, and a member and former Trustee of the VFW Post 1271, Central Falls. He was also a member of the Elks and was an avid Red Sox fan.
Noella L. Aunchman
N. KINGSTOWN - Noella L. Aunchman, 94, formerly of Central Falls, died peacefully at South County Hospital on Friday, September 5, 2014 with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Aunchman until his death in 1984. She was born in New Bedford, MA, the daughter of the late Philippe and Blanche (Chartier) St. Pierre. Noella worked at the former Deb Shoppe as a presser before her retirement in 1981. She was a long-time member of the choir of St. Joan of Arc Church, Cumberland.
Violet L. Marceau
PAWTUCKET - Violet L. Marceau, 85, passed peacefully on August 17th surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph D. Marceau.
She had been employed by Apex for many years before retiring.
Marion A. Glasheen
PAWTUCKET - Marion A. Glasheen, formerly of Pawtucket passed into eternal life on Sunday, September 7, 2014. She was the wife of the late William H. Glasheen.
Mrs. Glasheen was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Francis McGovern and the late Lillian (Mack) McGovern. She was a telephone operator for the former New England Telephone, now Verizon, for over 40 years.
Charles D. Lagor
NORTH SMITHFIELD - Charles D. Lagor, 87, of North Smithfield, RI, passed away on September 4, 2014.
Charles was married to his loving wife Lois (Jacques) Lagor for 64 years.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of the late William and Philemena (Pyne) Lagor.
Barbara M. Fontaine-Blanset
NORTH KINGSTOWN - Barbara M. (Gauthier) Fontaine-Blanset, 82, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter G. Fontaine, Sr., and the late Jack Blanset. Born in Pawtucket, she was one of six children of the late Philip J. and Marie B. (Doucette) Gauthier.
Barbara worked as a CNA until retiring, she then worked as a school lunch aide in the East Greenwich School Department for several years. Barbara was an avid card player and especially enjoyed playing Bridge.
Andrew G. Czekanski, M.D.
PAWTUCKET - Andrew G. Czekanski, M.D., 93, passed away Wednesday September 27, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Irene M. (Wojnilowicz) Czekanski.
Born in Warren, RI he was a son of the late Andrew L. and Frances (Krawczyk) Czekanski.
Dr. Czekanski was a member of both the RI Medical Society and the Pawtucket Medical Society. He was a Past President of the New England Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
During WW II he served as a Captain with the 363rd Station Medical Group in the U.S. Army Air Corp.
DANDRIDGE, TN - Leslie Thompson, 68, died at her home in Dandridge, TN on Friday, August 15, 2014.
Leslie, who grew up in Rhode Island, graduated from Cumberland, Rhode Island High School in 1963 and from the University of Rhode Island with a degree in Microbiology in 1967. She earned a Master's Degree in Biomedical Research from Brown University in 1970.
Margaret C. Olson
PAWTUCKET - Margaret "Peg" C. Olson, 55, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, September 1, 2014. She was the loving wife of Michael R. Dunbar. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. Olson and Virginia T. (Bergeron) Andrew.
Peg was a CNA at Madonna Manor, North Attleboro for many years. She loved listening to music, caring for animals and camping. Peg lived life to the fullest and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
