Robert J. Snow
EAST PROVIDENCE - Robert J. Snow, 89, of Allerton Avenue, died peacefully on October 27, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Edna M.(Coogan) Snow.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Aborn and Mary (Burns) Snow, he lived in East Providence for 51 years.
Frances D. Pisarek
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Frances D. (Hodgkins) Pisarek, 86, of Urban Ave., passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2011. She was the wife of the late Alfred Pisarek. Born in Keene, New Hampshire, a daughter of the late Ernest and Louise (Austin) Hodgkins, she resided in Pawtucket before moving to North Providence 26 years ago. Frances was a member of The Devine Mercy at the Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Paul L. Gamache
SEEKONK - Paul L. Gamache, 52 of Marlaine Drive Seekonk, died Wednesday at the Home and Hospice Care of RI.
He was the husband of Kathryn "Kasey" ( Rogers ) Gamache.
He was born in Central Falls, RI a son of Roland & Therese (Jarest) Gamache of Seekonk MA.
Paul was a Creative Director for over 25 years, for the Pharma International Company.
He was a graduate of RI College Class of 1981 with a B.S. in Communication.
He has lived most of his life in Seekonk, also living in Syracuse, NY, as well as various other states before moving back to Seekonk.
James L. Cleghorn, Ph.D.
PAWTUCKET - James L. Cleghorn, Ph.D., 75, formerly of Lawton Street and a resident of Desert Hot Springs, CA for the past eleven years, died October 17, 2011.
He was the son of the late William M. and Josephine (Czekanski) Cleghorn. A graduate of Brown University, Harvard University and the University of Vienna, he worked as a biochemist in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
He is survived by a son, several cousins and his long-time friend Domenica Colmore.
CUMBERLAND - Deolinda Costa, 96, of Eddy Street passed away peacefully Tuesday in the Grandview Center, Cumberland. She was the wife of the late Jose Antonio DaCosta.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Jose Miguel DosSantos and Maria Augusta Ribeiro. She resided in Cumberland for the past 20 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.
Mrs. Costa was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland. She loved to reflect in prayer, sing, cook, but most of all she was a friend to all.
Jeannette D. Vecoli
PAWTUCKET - Jeannette D. (Demers) Vecoli, entered into eternal life on Monday, October 24, 2011 at her home on Cute Street in Pawtucket, RI surrounded by family. Jeannette succumbed to complications from Lewy Body and Alzheimer's Diseases.
Born in Central Falls, RI on May 19, 1929 to William and Laura (Vandal) Demers, she is survived by two sisters: Rose McKenna of Swansea, MA, and Laura (Pat) Aylsworth of Attleboro, MA and two brothers: William (Bill) Demers of Deland, FL and John (Jack) Demers of Cumberland, RI.
Russell F. Bears Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Russell F. Bears Jr., 55 of Prince Street, passed away Saturday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. He died unexpectedly after complications with pneumonia.
He was the loving husband of 19 wonderful years to Nelia Aguiar-Bears, and father of Adrian Aguiar-Ray of Pawtucket and two daughters.
Born in Central Falls, he was the son of the late Russell F. Bears and Elsie M. Baker.
PAWTUCKET - Horacio Almeida, 73, passed away Sunday, October 23, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Rosa (Cabral) Almeida for 42 years. Born in Portugal, a son of the late Joaquim and Maria (Patrocino) Almeida, he resided in Pawtucket for 33 years. Horacio was employed by American Insulated Wire Company. He enjoyed hunting game and rabbit.
FLORIDA - Shirley A. Herbert 75, beloved wife and mother, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011 in Asheville, NC from a recurrence of a rare form of cancer. Shirley was born on July 23, 1936 in Pawtucket, RI and is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Coderre and Victoria Spano Coderre and sister, Barbara Robertson, all of Pawtucket, RI. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Louis P. Herbert of Summerfield, FL; son, Walter "Scott" Herbert and his wife, Karen of Tavares, FL; grand-children, Jonathan Herbert and Jessica Herbert; and great-grandson, Logan Herbert.
Thomas F. Pryor
CUMBERLAND - Thomas F. Pryor, 76, of England Street, passed away Sunday in the Miriam Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Maralyn (Duprey) Pryor.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Joseph and Elsie (McKee) Pryor. He was a life-long resident of Cumberland.
Mr. Pryor was the owner and operator of Pryor's Super Service Gas Station Garage (formerly McKee's Super Service) for over 15 years, and later was a Custodian for the Cumberland School Department for 13 years until his retirement in 1996.
Pauline R. Panciotti
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Pauline R. Panciotti, 72, of North Providence, died on Thursday at the South Shore Hospital in S. Weymouth, MA. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Panciotti.
Michael P. Lefrancois III
CUMBERLAND - Michael P. Lefrancois III, four months old, passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Born June 9, 2011, he was the son of Michael and Michelle (Altongy)Lefrancois.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandparents, Dr. Gilbert and Mimi Altongy; his paternal grandparents, Michae l Lefrancois and Deborah Jackson and her husband Archie.
William "Bill" Theodore Goyette
NORTH ATTLEBORO - William "Bill" Theodore Goyette, 80, of Mount Hope Street, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, October 22, 2011. He was the husband of the late Mary M. (Sabatini) Goyette who died on September 18, 2007.
Born in Mansfield, Massachusetts on November 1, 1930, he was one of twelve children born to the late Ovila I. and Emma R. (Arns) Goyette. He was raised and educated in North Attleboro and remained a resident of the community for most of his life.
PAWTUCKET - Alice Coyle-Chagnon, 90, passed October 21, 2011.
She was the wife of the late Harry J. Chagnon.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Henry P. and Christina (McKenna) Coyle. She lived most of her life in Darlington and has also resided in North Carolina and Florida before returning to Pawtucket 6 years ago.
PAWTUCKET - Francisco Saraiva, 87, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at home. He was the beloved husband of Maria L. (Soares) Saraiva for 62 years. Born in Portugal, a son of the late Julio and Gloria (Jesus) Saraiva, he came to the US in 1969 and settled in Cumberland before moving to Pawtucket over 30 years ago. Francisco was employed by Health-Tex, Inc. for many years until retiring. He enjoyed gardening, making homemade wine, and was a member of the Lusitania Club, Cumberland.
FLORIDA - Ilse Kubiak, 90, of Lake Worth passed away on October 20, 2011 under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach County in Atlantis. She was born and raised in Seekonk, Massachusetts moving to this area in 1985 from Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Ilse was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church of Lake Worth. where she was a member of the Women of Our Savior. She was preceded in death by her husband Leon J. Kubiak, Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Aline Cloutier 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 18, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul A. Cloutier.
She is survived by her son David E. Cloutier and his wife Connie formerly of Seekonk, granddaughter Dina Cloutier, grandson David P. Cloutier and his wife Alyssa and great-grandson Cameron.
Her funeral was held Friday October 21, 2011.
Dr. Steven Sefla
LINCOLN - Dr. Steven Sefla, 91, of Lincoln, died Tuesday at home. He was the loving husband of Rita (Bequir) Sefla. They had been married 55 years.
Born in Korca Albania, he was a son of the late Abraham and Elka (Kocibelli) Sefla. He attended Convite de National Italy, University of Bologna Italy School of Medicine, University of Vienna Austria School of Medicine, as well as the New York Chiropractic Institute. Dr. Sefla practiced in private practice until his retirement in 1993.
Emilia J. Botelho
LINCOLN - Emilia J. (Prata) Botelho, 81, of Linda Street died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Jack Botelho.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Manuel and Julia (Tavares) Prata, she had lived in Lincoln for the past 30 years.
Mrs. Botelho was a sales representative for Sears, Roebuck & Company in Providence. She had also worked at Korb's Bakery, Pawtucket and as a cashier in the cafeteria for the Lincoln School Department and St Raphael's Academy, Pawtucket.
