CUMBERLAND - Manuel Correia, 80, of Curran Road, passed away Tuesday in the Home and Hospice Care of RI Inpatient Unit, Providence. He was the husband of the late Fernanda (DeSousa) Goncalves Correia.
Born in Darei, Mangualde, Portugal he was the son of the late Leonido and Maria Correia. He came to this country in 1969 settling in Cumberland.
He was employed by the former American Insulated Wire of South Attleboro for 20 years until his retirement.
He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
Edward A. Parent
CUMBERLAND - Edward A. Parent, 76, from One Mendon Road, passed away Monday at home. He was the husband of Helen (Joly) Parent.
Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Tom and Ida (Jacques) Parent. He resided in Central Falls for the past 8 years, previously residing in Cumberland and Reno, Nevada.
Mr. Parent was a manager of Silver State Barricade and Sign for many years until retirement. After retirement he was employed as a School Bus Aid for Laidlaw and Durham Bus Services for over 10 years.
PAWTUCKET - Peter Orloff, 92 of Pawtucket died Monday at the Pawtucket Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center. He is the husband of Therese Orloff. Born in Pawtucket, Peter is the son of the late Fred and Julia (Borchov) Orloff.
He was a WWII Army Veteran serving in Rome-Arno, North Apennines and PO Valley. He was the recipient of the American Theater Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal, EAMET Campaign Medal with three Bronze Service Stars and the Bronze Star Medal.
Newman A. Carr Jr.
CUMBERLAND - Newman A. Carr Jr., 66, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Sunday in the Hebert Nursing Center, Smithfield after a long battle with cancer.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Newman and Dorothy (Mann) Carr.
He was a
Class of 1962, Cumberland High School graduate, and was a member of the state champion baseball team.
After high school, Mr. Carr served during Vietnam in the United States National Guard, serving in the 115th Military Police Unit from 1968 to 1969.
Robert J. Bessette
PAWTUCKET - Robert J. Bessette, 76, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. He was the beloved husband of the late Lea R. (Dame) Bessette.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Alphonse and Dora (Ranalli)Bessette. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was an owner of the Foxon Packaging Co., Providence until retiring. He was an Honorary Life member and former Trustee of the Tri-City Elks Lodge No. 14; Past-President of the Wampanoag Rod & Gun Club and a former member of the Attleboro Foreman's Club.

PAWTUCKET - Rita J. Fortin, 78, of Pawtucket passed away peacefully Saturday, March 19, 2011. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Alphie and Blanche (Ethier) Descoteaux. Mrs. Fortin worked as a Seamstress for various companies for many years before retiring.
She is survived by her loving children, Joy Nardella of Seekonk, MA, Arthur K. Fortin of Coventry, Neil Fortin of Florida, Glenn Fortin of Florida, Brenda David of Harrisville, Kevin Fortin also of Florida and Lisa Marie Fortin of Plainville, MA; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

PAWTUCKET - - Doris Jane Goff, 85, of Prospect Street died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Pawtucket Skilled Health & Rehabilitation Center, Pawtucket. Born in Attleboro, MA, a daughter of the late Horace K. and Beatrice M. (Toon) Goff, she had lived in Pawtucket for all her life.

PAWTUCKET. Luz G. Morales, Assistant Pastor of Iglesia Cristiana Sinai of Walcott Street, passed into eternal life at home on Thursday surrounded by her living family. She was the beloved wife of Rev. Pastor Jose A. Morales.
Mrs. Morales was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Modesto and Maria Antonia Vargas Torres and moved to R.I. in 1980.
CUMBERLAND - Florence Martitz-Delisle, 86, of Cumberland and formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Friday, March 18, 2011. She was the wife of the late Ernest Martitz and the late Philip Delisle.

WOONSOCKET - Dorothy May Potter, 80, of Woonsocket, died March 19, 2011 at Woonsocket Health Center. She was born in Pawtucket a daughter of the late Earl F. and Laura M. (Minchen) Potter. She was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
She is survived by 1 sister Laura E. Harrison of East Providence, 2 nieces Rev.Patricia E. Harrison of Barrington and Deborah A. Harrison of Castleton, NY. Funeral and burial will be private.
Anzetta E. Moreau
CENTRAL FALLS - Anzetta E. Moreau 74, of 466 Hunt St, passed March 19th. She was the wife of the late Andrew R. Moreau.
Born in Lubec, Maine, a daughter of the late Paul A. and Gussie M. (Denbow) Leighton.
Anzetta had been employed by the former Health-tex Industries for 20 years and then the Broad St, McDonalds for 10 years retiring in 1999.
She was a member of the Wilfred Manor Association, the St Matthews Women's Club.
CENTRAL FALLS - Miriam Soto, 60, formerly of Central Falls, passed into eternal rest in Orlando Florida on March 14. She was the wife of Jose Soto.
Besides her husband she leaves 4 sons, Jose and Raul Soto of Pawtucket and Juan and Alberto Soto of Central Falls and a daughter, Evelyn Soto of Florida, 18 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. She also leaves 11 other siblings, mostly in Puerto Rico.
Reverend Joseph P. Heaney
CRANSTON - Reverend Joseph P. Heaney, 90, Pastor Emeritus of St. Mark Church in Cranston, Rhode Island, died on March 17, 2011.
Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Joseph A. and Mary (Nealin) Heaney, he attended Central Avenue Grammar School, Goff Junior High School and Pawtucket East High School in Pawtucket.
Jeannette E. Raymond
CENTRAL FALLS: Jeannette E. Raymond 81, formerly of Liberty St, passed March 18th with her loving husband Bernard by her side; they have been married for 58 years.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Aurelle and Jean
LaPierre. She was a lifelong Central Falls resident and longtime Communicant of Holy Spirit Parish (St Matthew Church).
She had been employed by Hord Tool and Dye as a production manager for many years retiring in 1992.
CUMBERLAND - Joseph Bradley, 72, of Cumberland, died Thursday at Oakland Grove Health & Rehabilitation Ctr., Woonsocket. Born in Cumberland, he was a son of the late John C. and Flora A. (Diparthy) Bradley.
Mr. Bradley was a farmer at Bradley Farm in Cumberland all of his life. He is survived by his sister Eileen Couturier of Cumberland and nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late George and John Bradley, Margaret Peggy Vanasse and Rosemarie Kieffer. A graveside interment service will be held on Saturday (today) at 2:00 pm at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland.
Josephine C. Warzycha
CUMBERLAND - Josephine C. Warzycha 86, of Mendon Road passed away Wednesday March 16, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Warzycha Sr.
Born in Central Falls she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine (Bobola) Bernat. She lived in Cumberland for the past 5 years and was formerly of Pawtucket.
Before retiring she was employed as a Bookkeeper for the Warzycha Construction Co. of Pawtucket and the Paper Scene of Attleboro. She also worked for the former Franklin Supply Co. as a Bookkeeper.
PAWTUCKET - Phyllis Tumidajski 83, of Fortin Avenue passed away Wednesday March 16, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Tumidajski.
Born in Taunton, MA she was a daughter of the late Walenty and Josephine (Salek) Majkut. She lived in Pawtucket most of her life.
Before retiring she was employed as a Seamstress in the Pawtucket area.
Phyllis was an avid Polka Dancer.
Janet C. Riendeau
PAWTUCKET: Janet C. Riendeau 55, passed March 16th with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Ronald Riendeau.
She was the daughter of the late George W. and Blanche (Peloquin) McConnell.
Besides her husband she is survived by her loving children, Corey, Meghan, and Courtney Seebeck, Ronald and Rebecca Riendeau and Rosa Silva, a sister, Susan Sampers, 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Bernice A. Adams
CENTRAL FALLS - Bernice A. (Brown) Adams, 89, formerly of Washington St., passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald P. Adams. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Nile and Louise (DeLong) Brown, she resided in Central Falls over fifty-five years.
PAWTUCKET - Margaret Lima of Armistice Blvd, Pawtucket died March 13, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (Fernandes) Lima.
Miss Lima is survived by her sister Pearl Rose, her nephews John Pina, John O'Connor and Steven O'Connor, and her nieces Clara Perry and Ruth Collins.
There will be a funeral service for Miss Lima Friday, March 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home, 68 Broadway, Pawtucket.
