PAWTUCKET - Melissa "Missy" Sweeney, 44, of Whipple Street passed away Tuesday, January 8, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of Fred Sweeney of Pawtucket and Elaine (St. Jean) George of Lincoln.
Missy was a recruiter for the Sawyer School for several years. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of Cumberland Post #14, American Legion, Cumberland.
Virginia R. Loynds
CUMBERLAND - Virginia R. (Moor) Loynds, 90, formerly of Rigdewood Rd. passed away Tuesday in The Holiday Retirement Home, Manville. She was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Loynds for 55 years.
Born in Boston, MA she was the daughter of the late Earl M. and Ruth C. (McFaden) Moor. She had resided in Cumberland over 50 years previously residing in Skowhegan, ME and Brookline, MA.
Doris E. Delaney
PAWTUCKET - Doris E. Delaney, born on July 6th, 1925, passed away on January 8th, 2013 in Pawtucket, R.I. She resided at the Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket, R.I. where she lived for the past several years. Doris was born in Providence R.I., a daughter of the late Elsie and William Wheatley.
She resided in Pawtucket, R.I. with her husband Raymond who predeceased her in 2008. During her years in Pawtucket, Doris was a devoted wife, mother and sister having dedicated her life to raising her family.
PAWTUCKET - Frederick Habershaw, 86, formerly of Roosevelt Avenue, Pawtucket, passed away Wednesday at Berkshire Place, Providence.
Born in Attleboro, MA ,he was the son of the late William and Sarah (Bradley) Habershaw. He resided in Pawtucket for over 20 years, previously residing in South Attleboro, MA.
Mr. Habershaw was employed at one time by the Crown Manufacturing, Darlington Fabrics and Moore Fabrics. He later was a self-employed maintenance worker.
Glenn R. Fitzpatrick
PAWTUCKET - Fitzpatrick, Glenn R., 57 of Pawtucket died January 9, 2014 at Home and Hospice Care of RI. Mr. Fitzpatrick was born in Providence, son of the late Fred R. and Dorothy H. (Earnshaw) Fitzpatrick. He loved sports.
He is survived by his four siblings, Carolyn Parrott and her husband Robert of Manchester, CT, Barbara King and her husband Joseph of Pawtucket, Allen Fitzpatrick and his wife Michele of Pawtucket and Fred Fitzpatrick and his wife Paula of Bristol. His guardian Cheryl Grenier of Cumberland.
Donald J. LeBlanc Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Donald J. LeBlanc Jr., of Byron avenue, Pawtucket died on January 5, 2014.
Mr. LeBlanc was the husband of the late Eileen (McConnon) LeBlanc.
He was born in Bristol, the son of the late Donald J. LeBlanc Sr. and Victoria (Santo) LeBlanc.
Mr. LeBlanc served his Country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He earned numerous commendations during his time there including the Bronze Star Medal.
Ruth H. Travers
CUMBERLAND - Ruth H. Travers, 79, of Highland Avenue passed away Tuesday in R.I. Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Travers.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late William and Ruth (Chaput) Davis. She was a lifelong Cumberland resident.
She was a communicant of St. Aidan Church, Cumberland.
Mary A. Rodrigues
CUMBERLAND - Mary A. (Calista) Rodrigues, 83, of Lincoln Manor, passed away Tuesday at the Grandview Center, Cumberland. She was the cherished wife of Joseph M. Rodrigues.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late John Q. and Carolina (Nobrega) Calista. She resided in Lincoln for the past 37 years, previously residing in Central Falls.
Alice was employed as an Administrative Assistant for the Central Beverage Company for over 35 years until her retirement.
PROVIDENCE - Angela Morales, 88, of Hillside Avenue and formerly of Pawtucket, died Friday, January 3, 2014 at Miriam Hospital, Providence.
Born in Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Nicolas and Modesta (Salenas) Morales, she had lived in Pawtucket for over 20 years before moving to Providence.
Angela was an assembler of jewelry boxes at International Packaging Company, Pawtucket for many years before retiring.
Beatrice Carter Minkins
PAWTUCKET - Beatrice Carter Minkins, 100, of Glenwood Avenue passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was the 8th daughter of the late John Carter and Rosa L. (Jessup) Minkins.
PAWTUCKET - Clara (Palumbo) Willis, 91, passed on January 5th. She was the wife of late Clayton Willis.
She is survived by her four children, Clayton Willis, Roseann Purcell, Julia Zelano and Anthony Willis, four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, eight great-great grandchildren and two sisters.

Catherine J. Grant
ATTLEBORO - Catherine J. (Gaouette) Grant, 60, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 6, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert G. Grant, Jr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of Clinton M. and Dorothy L. (Bailey) Gaouette of Seekonk.
Catherine was a lifelong member of the Memorial Baptist Church, Seekonk, where she served as a Deaconess and President of the Womens Fellowship. She was very active in many church activities and served on several committees. Catherine was also an active member of the Linsey Woolsey Quilt Guild, Attleboro Falls.
Pauline A. Smith
LINCOLN - Pauline A. Smith, 85, of Lincoln, died Sunday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Harry C. Smith. Born in Lincoln, she was a daughter of the late James and Ann E. (Cassidy) Nelson.
Mrs. Smith was employed for the State of RI as a medical claims examiner for many years prior to her retirement. She was an active parishioner/volunteer at St. Jude Church.
Ernest A. Tapley
CUMBERLAND- Ernest A. Tapley, 88, of Cumberland, died Sunday at The Holiday Nursing Home. He was the husband of Ursula (McCann) Tapley.
Born in Millinocket, ME, he was a son of the late William and Gertrude (Madore) Tapley.
Mr. Tapley was employed as a truck driver for A&P Stores and Dexter Farms. He was a member of Teamsters Local #370. Mr. Tapley was a World War II Army veteran.
CENTRAL FALLS- Irene Bouvier, 84, passed on January 5th.
Born in Lowell, MA, she was a daughter of the late Armand and Leda (Charette) Bouvier.
She had been employed by AT Cross for many years.
Irene is survived by a sister, Rita M. Turenne of Central Falls and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Armand J. Bouvier
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, (Tommorow) at 9:30am in Holy Spirit Parish, Dexter St, Central Falls. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket.

CUMBERLAND- Michalina Maczuga, 88, passed away Sunday January 5, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Care Center in Providence. She was the wife of the late Walter S. Maczuga.
Born in Poland a daughter of the late Stanislaw and Karolina (Krawczyk) Koziol. She lived in Cumberland for the past 52 years and was formerly of Pawtucket.
Before retiring she was a Weaver for the former Sydney Blumenthal Textile Co. and also was a Bookkeeper for Walterâ€™s Concrete Form Co. of Cumberland.
She was a member and past Mother Of The Year of the former Pulaski Polish Home of Pawtucket.
Charles W. Brod, Jr.
CUMBERLAND- Charles W. Brod, Jr., 95, of Cumberland passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30th. He was the beloved husband of Florence M. (Stanton) Brod, whom he married April 18, 1948.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Charles W. and Olive (Robarge) Brod.
CUMBERLAND- Elizabeth "Liz" Teixeira, 91 passed away peacefully Friday at the Avon Nursing Home, Warwick. She was the wife of the late Alvaro Teixeira.
Born in the Valley Falls section of Cumberland she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Beatriz Queija.
EAST PROVIDENCE- Norman "Uncle Norman" Bisson, 85, of Rumford, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline M. (Theberge) Fuller-Bisson and the late Virginia C. (Hamilton) Bisson.
Born in Central Falls, a son of the late Cleophas and Yvonne (Legare) Bisson, he resided in Pawtucket before moving to Rumford in 1956.
Myrtle A. Bachini
PAWTUCKET- Myrtle A. (Bowen) Bachini, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 2, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Benedict "Ben" J. Bachini.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Michael J. and Gertrude M. (Chase) Bowen, she moved to Riverside in 1949 and then returned to Pawtucket in 1957.
