Joseph F. Cassidy Sr.
SANDWICH, MA - Joseph F. Cassidy Sr., 92, of Sandwich, MA, formerly of Rehobeth, MA, Harwichport, MA and Pawtucket, RI, died at his home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, April 15th following a brief illness. He was the beloved husband of the late Gertrude (Murtha) Cassidy for 55 years until her death in 2000.
Ana T. Brasileiro
CUMBERLAND - Ana T. Brasileiro, 89, of Broad Street, passed away Friday at home. She was the wife of the late Antonio G. Brasileiro.
Born in Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jose E. Rosa (Esteves) Tibeiro. She came to the United States in February 7, 1971 and settle in Cumberland.
She was employed as an assembler for Hasbro Industries for 12 years until her retirement in 1982.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cumberland.
David R. Robitaille
ATTLEBORO - David R. Robitaille, 61, of Union Street, passed away Friday at home. He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Clavin) Robitaille. They were married for 34 years.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Reynolds Robitaille and Jane (McKenna) Robitaille-Torres. David resided in Attleboro for the past 21 years previously residing in Pawtucket.
He was employed as a laborer for the Teknor Apex, Pawtucket for over 20 years.
Leo H. Lennon
CUMBERLAND - LTC Leo H. Lennon, retired U.S. Army, of Cumberland passed away on Friday, April 11, 2014. He was the husband of the late Claire (Rankowitz) Lennon.
Ann L. Bejma
PAWTUCKET - Ann L. (Pelen) Bejma, 90, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 12, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Charles J. Bejma and the late Albert W. Johnson.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Paul W. and Mary I. (Davis) Pelen, she had lived in Pawtucket for most of her life.
Mrs. Bejma was the International Traffic Manager for Teknor-Apex, Pawtucket for many years before retiring.
Claire G. Fournier
LAS VEGAS, NV - Claire G. Fournier, 94, passed in Las Vegas, she was the wife of the late Henry G. Fournier.
Born in New Market, NH, a daughter of the late Arthur and Eva (Goupille) Gadbois.
Claire was employed by Hasbro for many years and lived most of her life in Central Falls.
Dominga Da Lomba
PAWTUCKET - Dominga (Nunes) Da Lomba, 70, passed on April 13th. She was the wife of Samuel DaLomba.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, a daughter of the late Domingos Nunes and Laura Silva Costa.
She had been employed by Vitrus for over 20 years.
CONVERSE, TX - Mrs. Jeanne Helene Holcomb was born in Central Falls, Rhode Island on October 23rd, 1946 to Charles and Marie Doyon. She departed this life on March 27th, 2014 in Converse, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Robert Holcomb, one son, Robert Holcomb, her only daughter, Regina Meader, two brothers, Paul Doyon and Rene Doyon, and her grandchildren Troy Meader and Holley Holcomb.
Memorial Services will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, Lincoln on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 9:30am.
Alfred H. Hauser, Jr.
JOHNSTON - Alfred H. Hauser, Jr., 87, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Doris Mae (Crompton) Hauser. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Alfred H., Sr. and M. Edith (Blezard) Hauser. Alfred was a disabled veteran, having served in the United States Navy, Seabees Battalion during World War II. He was the proprietor of Elegant Lady Beauty Salon, Providence for over 20 years and enjoyed gardening; tending to his roses and traveling.
William J. Crisp
PAWTUCKET - Crisp, William J. 62, of Pawtucket, formerly of North Providence, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was a son of the late Howard and Ella (Strobridge) Crisp.
William had worked for the State of Rhode Island before retiring in 1994. He was an avid Nascar, Patriots and Red Sox fan.
He is survived by two sisters, Joyce Magliette of Pawtucket and Elaine Clark of Missouri, a brother, Matthew Crisp of Ohio, and several generations of nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Beth Lynn Crisp.
Pauline C. Tremblay
LINCOLN - Pauline C. Tremblay, 92, died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Mt. St. Rita Health Center, surrounded by her devoted family. She was the beloved wife of the late Wilfred Tremblay for 63 years prior to his death in 2010.
Germaine G. Berube
NEWARK, DE - Germaine G. Berube, 98 of Newark, Delaware died Sunday at her home. She was the wife of the late Wilfred E. Berube. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Claudia (Benoit) LaGueux. Germaine lived most of her life in Pawtucket until moving to Delaware in 2001.
Germaine was an avid bridge and poker player and communicant of Blessed Pope John Paul II Parish (formerly St. Cecilia Church) in Pawtucket.
Harold W. Jackson, Sr.
PAWTUCKET - Harold W. Jackson, Sr., 89, of Cleveland Street died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Thelma R. (Chartier) Jackson.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, he was a son of the late Harold H. and Mary T. (Farrell) Jackson.
Mr. Jackson was an appliance repairman for Elwyn TV, Cranston, Shepard Jenkins and Private Appliance, Pawtucket before retiring. He was a former member of the Elks.
George A. Hanley
PAWTUCKET - George A. Hanley, of Pawtucket, died on June 27, 2013.
Mr. Hanley was born in Pawtucket, the son of the late George A. Hanley Sr. and Ann (Stuart) Hanley. He was employed at New England Paper Tube as an equipment operator for many years. He was predeceased by his brother, James E. Hanley Sr. and his sister-in-law, Gertrude (Mellen) Hanley. He is survived by two nephews, four nieces, and many great nieces and nephews.
Rosina M. Boron
PROVIDENCE - Rosina M. Boron of Hillside Avenue, Providence, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014. She was the wife of the late Arnold Boron.
Mrs. Boron was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late Frank Stroscio and Josephine (Sidoti) Stroscio.
She was employed at the former Almont's Clothing for over twenty five years.
Rosina was a concert pianist and part time piano teacher. Before residing at the Summit Commons she had lived at Coats Manor for thirty five years.
Lena L. Haworth
SOUTH KINGSTOWN - HAWORTH, LENA L., 89, went home to be with The Lord on Monday, April 7, 2014 surrounded by her family.
She was the beloved and inseparable wife of the late Edward Haworth for sixty seven years; devoted and loving mother of Nancy Hathaway and her husband Dr. Kenneth of Narragansett and Janice Horton and her husband Donald of Nonquitt, MA; loving grandmother of Lori Kornfield, Rebecca Mason, Jessica Joss, Sarah Hathaway and Bryan Horton; great grandmother of eight; sister of Ruth Hill, Eunice Latimer and the late Frank Cotton.
Phyllis E. Cabral
PAWTUCKET - Phyllis E. (Hodde) Cabral, 83, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 7, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Joseph W. Cabral for sixty years. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Virgil D. and Matilda (Middlebrook) Hodde. Phyllis was a seamstress at Health-Tex, Inc., for thirty years until retiring in 1977.
Pauline M. Dulieu
PAWTUCKET - Pauline M. (Damiani) Dulieu, 76, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 after a long battle with Ovarian Cancer. She was the beloved wife of George J. Dulieu for 58 years.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Assuntina (Paoli) Damiani.
PAWTUCKET - Joao Farias, 90 of Pawtucket died Wednesday at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center surrounded by his loving family. He is the husband of Maria do Carmo Farias and they have been married for 67 years. Born in Santa Barbara, Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Jose and Maria (dos Anjos) Farias. Joao immigrated with his family to the United States in 1967 and settled in Pawtucket.
Florence A. Fierlit
CENTRAL FALLS - Florence A. Fierlit, 92, passed away Saturday April 5, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew F. Fierlit.
Born in Kulpmont, PA she was a daughter of the late Peter and Anastazja (Kogut) Zuba.
Before retiring Florence was employed as an Assembler for the former J & K Sales of Pawtucket. She was a member of the Fierlit-Korzen A.L. Post #79 Ladies Auxiliary of Central Falls and also volunteered at the Slater Park Zoo.
