Rita M. Deslaurier
CENTRAL FALLS - Rita M. Deslaurier, 95 died Saturday (Feb. 4, 2012) at the Golden Crest Nursing Centre, North Smithfield, RI. She was the wife of the late Herbert Deslaurier.
Born in Central Falls, a daughter of the late Donat and Catherine (Baker) Houde she was a lifelong resident prior to moving to the nursing centre. She was a homemaker, a member of the former Notre Dame Church Women's Club and of the former Wilfred Manor Associates.
Margaret R. Doiron
HAMPTON, NH - Margaret "Peggy" Doiron of Hampton, 64, formerly of Portsmouth, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Oceanside Skilled Nursing Center in Hampton.
She was born in Portsmouth on July 24, 1947 to the late William and Jeanne (Gagne) Moreau.
Elizabeth M. Tammany
EAST PROVIDENCE - Elizabeth "Betty" M. (Cullen) Tammany, 84, of Rumford, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2012. She was the beloved wife of the late Chester J. Tammany.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Anna (McArdle) Cullen.
Betty was a graduate of Rhode Island College of Education Class of 1949, and taught in the Johnston School System and was a member of the Johnston Federation of Teachers. She taught at Windson Hill Elementary School and also was a Co- Operating Teacher at URI and RIC until retiring in 1984.
Jean E. Blakey
SOUTH ATTLEBORO - Jean E. Blakey (Blackmer) 80, of South Attleboro and formerly of Pawtucket died February 4, 2012. She was the wife of the late Wilfred E."Whitey" Blakey.
She was born in Cranston, RI a daughter of the late Earl T. and Arlene E. (Franklin) Blackmer.
She was a homemaker.
Dorothy M. Maitland
LINCOLN - Dorothy Mary (Walsh) Maitland, 89, of Lincoln, passed unexpectedly and peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 31st, 2012, at the Steere House Nursing Center in Providence where she'd lived for ten months. She was the beloved wife of Robert Leo Maitland, who preceded her in death in March 2011.
Susan C. Nicastro
LINCOLN - Susan C. (Aldrich) Nicastro, 69, of Franklin Street died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. She was the wife of the late Vincent A. Nicastro.
Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Herbert A. and Catherine R. (Riley) Aldrich, she had lived in Pawtucket for most of her life before moving to Lincoln 9 years ago.
Mrs. Nicastro was the supervisor of phlebotomy at Miriam Hospital, Providence for 24 years before retiring in 1999.
She was a 1960 graduate of the Sacred Heart High School.
CENTRAL FALLS - Margaret Plouffe "Dot" 95, of Hunt St, passed on February 2nd.
Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Thomas A. and Rose (Theroux) Burns.
She had been employed for 35 years by the former Corning Glass of Central Falls.
Joseph D. Cooke
PAWTUCKET - Joseph Donald Cooke, 87, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Legacy House, Hospice of Ocala, Florida.
He was the husband of the late Florence (Paull) Cooke to whom he was married for 64 years. Born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Arthur and Lena (Mcencrowe) Cooke, Joseph served in the United States Navy during World War II where he was wounded. A Disabled American Veteran, he was a member of Redman Chapter DAV, Pawtucket. He had served as the Sergeant-at-Arms. Employed as an Engineer for Polaroid Corp. for over thirty years, he retired in 1985.
Daniel F. Kennedy
PAWTUCKET - Daniel F. Kennedy, 67, of Pawtucket, passed away Thursday, February 02, 2012. He was the husband of the late Beverly (Moreau) Kennedy. Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of Viola (Ashetzie) Edwards and the late Daniel Kennedy. He was also the stepson of the late Paul Edwards.
Daniel was a truck driver for American Steel & Aluminum for twenty five years, retiring in 2005. He served and was honorably discharged from the United States Navy. He enjoyed playing golf, a member of the motor mounts, and was a classic car enthusiast.
CALIFORNIA - Alexander Sutherland Wood, Born April 14, 1921 Pawtucket, RI, moved to California in 1959. He was 90yrs old when the Lord called him home. He died on February 1st in Hemet, CA.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran, Business owner in Automotive Repair and owned and operated the "Road Runner" campground in Lake Elsinore, CA. from 1976-1989.
CENTRAL FALLS - Lidia Sosa-Estrada, 78, passed February 2nd.
She was the wife of the late Guillermo Estrada.
Born in Guatemala, a daughter of the late Mateo and Lucia (Leon) Sosa.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Maria Galvan and Alma Noriega, 2 sons, Jorge and Edvin Estrada, 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Mayron Estrada. Lidia was one of 10 siblings.
SOUTH CAROLINA - Annette Tooma, 95, of Hilton Head Island and mother of Samuel Tooma of Hilton Head Island died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Life Care Center of Hilton Head.
Inurnment will be in Swan Point Cemetery in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on a date to be determined.

Juan Y. Vidal
PAWTUCKET - Juan Y. Vidal, 63 died at home in Pawtucket on Sunday. He was the beloved husband of Maria (Arias) de Vidal. Born in the Dominican Republic, a son of the late Fernando and Elvira (Santana) Vidal, he had been a resident of Pawtucket for several years. He loved the New York Yankees. Prior to retirement two years ago due to illness, he had been employed as a custodian in supermarkets.
Margaret W. Dwyer
PAWTUCKET - Margaret W. Dwyer (Boyle) 94, of Pawtucket, died Jan. 31, 2012. She was the wife of the late Raymond V. Dwyer. Mrs. Dwyer was born in Glasgow, Scotland. She was the daughter of the late Colin and Elizabeth (Cruden) Boyle. She came to this country 83 years ago settling in Pawtucket where she had lived for most of her life.
She was employed by the former Lorraine Mfg. as a sewer for 20 years. Mrs. Dwyer was a 72 year member of Smithfield Ave. Congregational Church and a willing worker.
Clifton R. Choiniere, Jr
PROVIDENCE - Clifton R. Choiniere, Jr. 77, of Veazie Street, passed away January 30th.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Clifton R. Sr. and Gertrude (Coughlin) Choiniere; husband of Lydia (Ramsdell) Choiniere and the late Betty Choiniere; father of Clifton R. III, Nathan, Jason and Kathleen Choiniere, Rebecca Manley, Lanel, Vinell and Shai Ramsdell; grandfather of 16; greatgrandfather of 7.
Flora B. Therrien
PAWTUCKET - Flora B. (LeClair) Therrien, 98, born February 6, 1913 in Attleboro, Massachusetts, died January 30, 2012 at the St. Jeanne Jugan Residence in Pawtucket, R.I., where she resided for twenty years. She was the daughter of the late Louis and Agnes (Cournoyer) LeClair and the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Ernest Therrien.
Edith Merle Agin
FOXBORO, MA - Edith Merle Agin, 74, of Foxboro Massachusetts, passed this Sunday with her loving family at her side. She succumbed to a brief 1 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Her friends know her as Merle.
Born in Pawtucket, RI, Merle was the daughter of Evelyn and Isadore. Merle was a long time Pawtucket resident but recently resided in Foxboro near her sons.

PAWTUCKET - Mary T. Suita 96, passed away Monday January 30, 2012 at Kent Hospital in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Edward A. Suita.
Born in Pawtucket she was a daughter of the late Wincenty and Mary (Balbaton) Rusielewicz. She lived in Pawtucket all her life.
Gabriel M. Fortin
LINCOLN - Gabriel M. "Gabe" Fortin, 77, died Saturday, January 28, at home. He was the husband of the late Lois B. (Vivier) Fortin.
Born in the Albion village of Lincoln, a son of the late Wilfred and DiNora (Metivier) Fortin, he was a lifelong resident of the village.
Mr. Fortin was a schoolteacher for the Central Falls School Dept. for over thirty-five years, and was a graduate of St. Michael's College, Vermont.
Ronald W. Burke
DeLand, FL - Mr. Ronald W. "Hank" Burke, 75, of DeLand passed from this life on Friday, January 27, 2012. Ronald was born on May 10, 1937 in Attleboro he was the son of the late James H. and Muriel D. (Brown) Burke. He moved to DeLand in 2003 after retiring from CSR Rinker in South Florida.
His Favorite Hobby was building and working on his 1934 Cabriolet. He was a veteran having served in the Navy.
