Mary L. Lopes
ARIZONA - Mary L. Lopes, 92, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2014. Born in Portugal, Mary came to America as a baby and resided most of her life in Cumberland, Rhode Island. Mary spent her later years in Arizona with her daughter and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary L. Wareham, grandchildren; Amy Wareham, David L. Wareham and Jeremy Conrad Wareham; four great-grandchildren and brother, Abel Lopes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lopes.
Clementina R. Desrosiers
CUMBERLAND - Clementina R. (Lopes) Desrosiers, 87, of North Carolina and previously of Murphy Drive in Cumberland passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2014 at the Gordon Hospice House, Statesville, NC. She was the beloved wife of Pete Desrosiers, and they had been happily married for 36 years. She was previously married to Norberto Coutinho who passed away in 1974.
Born in Guarda, Portugal, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Rosa (Raposo) Lopes. She resided in Statesville, NC for the past 30 years, previously residing in Cumberland.
Edward Wilks Jr.
PAWTUCKET- Edward Wilks Jr. 74, passed away Thursday May 15, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Carol A. (Bator) Wilks.
Born in Pawtucket he was a son of the late Edward and Tessie ( Wojcik ) Wilks Sr. He was a life long resident of Pawtucket.
Before retiring Mr. Wilks was employed as a Supervisor for Hasbro Industries for 40 years.
Besides his wife he leaves one loving son Edward R. Wilks and his wife Elaine of Pawtucket, one devoted grandson Kyle Wilks, one sister Carol A. Ouellette and one brother Robert Townsend both of Florida.
Leo J. Lachance
EAST FALMOUTH - Leo J. Lachance, 89, of East Falmouth and formerly of South Attleboro, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 16, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Mabell B. (Curtis) Lachance. Born in Central Falls, RI, the son of the late Henri and Malvina (Robidoux) Lachance, he resided in South Attleboro until moving to East Falmouth in 1995.
Leo was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was the proprietor of Dottieâ€™s Caterers, Pawtucket, RI for fifty years until retiring in 1995.
Herbert H. Entwistle
LINCOLN - Herbert H. Entwistle, 96, of Lincoln passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on May 14, 2014 at the Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence. Herby was born in Pawtucket on March 11, 1918 to the late Herbert and Mary Evelyn (Martin) Entwistle.
He served as an MP in the U.S. Army during World War II completing tours in North Africa and Italy. Upon returning from the War, he married the love of his life, Doris (Crooks) on September 22, 1945.
Herby worked as a Master Plumber throughout Rhode Island for many years before retiring.
Jeannette M. Quilitzsch
CUMBERLAND - Jeannette M. Quilitzsch, 93 of Little Pond County Road passed away Monday in the Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket. She was the beloved wife of Herbert Quilitzsch and the late James Jackson.
Born in Waterville, ME., she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Mary (LaBrecque) Sevigny. She lived in Cumberland for more than 20 years and previously resided in North Attleboro.
Erin E. Erskine
PAWTUCKET - Erin E. Erskine, 32, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of John Erskine, and the late Margaret (Whitehead) Erskine. Erin was a lifelong resident of Pawtucket. She graduated from Bishop Keough in 1999 and she also attended the New England Institute of Technology.
Besides her father she is survived by a sister, Tara Erskine of Pawtucket. She also leaves twin nieces, Taylor and Alexis Erskine-Coulombe.

Edward J. McCann
CENTRAL FALLS - Edward J. McCann passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Monday, May 12, 2014, at the age of 84.
Edward was a member of the City of Central Falls Fire Department since 1961 and rose to the rank of Battalion Chief in 1982. He retired from the Department in 1985. During his career he once served as President of the International Association of Firefighters, Local Union 1485. He was formally a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Antonio Barbosa Vicente
CENTRAL FALLS - Antonio Barbosa Vicente, "Tony" 92, passed on May 11th with his loving family by his side.
Born in Fogo, Cabo Verde, a son of the late Marino Barbosa Vicente and Anna Vasconselos Barbosa Vicente.
He was the proprietor of farmlands in Cape Verde.
He is survived by four children, Antonia Vicente Ribelo, Dina Barbosa Vicente, Antonio Barbosa Vicente and Grace Vicente Spinella, a sister, Isabel Rodrigues, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Joseph Morrissey Jr.
PAWTUCKET - Joseph Morrissey, Jr., 52, passed away on May 10, 2014 in Pawtucket. Joseph grew up in Pawtucket, graduated from Shea High School and then later moved to Chicago and worked as a middle school teacher.
He is survived by his father Joseph Morrissey of Pawtucket and his mother Sandra (Handrigan) Morrissey of Clearwater, Florida, two siblings Kelly (Morrissey) Chadwick of Cumberland and Michael Morrissey of Mystic, Ct. He also leaves a niece Allison Chadwick, a brother in law and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ernest F. Coit, Jr.
NORTH PROVIDENCE - Ernest F. Coit, Jr., 76, of North Providence went to be with his mother in heaven on May 11, 2014. He peacefully passed surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. He was the beloved husband of Lenore K. (Goldstein) Coit for 28 years. Born in Providence and raised in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Jeannette (Catalano) Coit and the late Ernest F. Coit.
Kim A. Culpan
Portsmouth - Kim A. Culpan, (Nassaney), passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Thursday, May 8, 2014. She was the beloved wife of Jeffrey Culpan. They were happily married for 12 years. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of Zaky and Lillian (Kahla) Nassaney of Lincoln.
Kim graduated from RI School of Design in 1990. She was a self employed interior designer primarily working with clients residences. She enjoyed boating, skiing, and most of all was her career as a designer.
PAWTUCKET - Maria Pires, 76, passed on May 9th. She was the former wife of Fortunato Pires.
Born in Brava, Cape Verde, she was a daughter of late Pedro and Silvana (Serena) Baptista.
She had been employed in the Textile Industry for many years in the Pawtucket area. She dedicated her life to help others via numerous charity and church involvements. She was an active choir member at Immaculant Heart of Mary Church, St. John the Baptiste and St. Anthony Church.
Rose Marie Giannini
PAWTUCKET - Rose Marie Giannini, 91, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Elmhurst Extended Care, Providence. Rose was born in Pawtucket, the daughter of the late William and Carmina (Morelli) Giannini and was a lifelong resident of the Blackstone Valley. Rose was a graduate of Pawtucket East (Tolman) High School and a congregant at St. Joseph's Church. She was employed by Conrad Jarvis for more than 20 years prior to her retirement.
E. Warren Newell
LINCOLN - E. Warren Newell, a life-long resident of the Prospect Hill neighborhood of Lincoln, passed away on Tuesday, May 6 at the age of 84. He was the husband of 60 years to his beloved wife Shirley Newell. Warren was the son of the late Elisha A. Newell and L. Irma King Newell of Lincoln and, the brother of Irma H. Newell Remington of Dunnellon, FL and the late Kenneth Newell of Tampa, FL.
Brian D. Correia
NARRAGANSETT - Brian D. Correia, 44 of Birch Road passed away Tuesday at home. A funeral service with military honors will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road Cumberland. Burial will be private.

Arthur J. Mondor Jr.
ATTLEBORO - Arthur J. Mondor Jr., 84 of Attleboro passed away on May 5, 2014 at Life Care Center of Attleboro. He was the husband of Theresa (Joubert) Mondor of Attleboro.
Born September 9, 1929 in Attleboro, he was a son of the late Arthur J. Sr. and Mary (Waldron) Mondor.
Arthur was raised and educated in Attleboro and was a graduate of Attleboro High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served as a staff sergeant during the Korean War.
Frank J. Conlon
CENTRAL FALLS - Frank J. Conlon, 66, passed unexpectedly at home on May 4th. Born in Central Falls, he was a son of the late Thomas and Sophie (Motyka) Conlon.
He had been employed as group home counselor and by the Wrentham State School.
Frank was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a member of American Legion Post 79.
He is survived by two sisters, Mary Conlon of Pawtucket and Susan Souza of Cumberland, a brother, Thomas Conlon of Smithfield and several nieces and nephews.
ILdebranda F. Oliveira
PAWTUCKET - ILdebranda F. Oliveira, "ILDE" 46, passed on May 7th surrounded by a large loving family. She was the devoted wife of Antonio G. Oliveira. Born in Brava, Cabo Verde, she was a daughter of Carlota Fernandes and Gaudencio Rodrigues.
She had been employed as a supervisor by RI Textile Company for many years. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by her 24 siblings, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and a step son, Antonio J. Oliveira, her mother, brother and sister in laws.
