James E. Schoepfer
EAST PROVIDENCE - James E. Schoepfer, 83, of Rumford, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014. He was the beloved husband of Audrey (Howard) Schoepfer for fifty-five years. Born in Pawtucket, a son of the late Otto O. and Helen L. (Mitchell) Schoepfer, he resided in Pawtucket until moving to Rumford in 2008.
Carol A. Ellis
CUMBERLAND - Carol A. (Quilitzsch) Ellis, 70, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 29, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Albert A. Ellis, Jr. Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late George and Anita (Mintel) Quilitzsch.
Carol worked as a credit and collections manager at Hasbro for many years and was the secretary of the Bear Hill Village Tenants Association. She was a longtime member of the Cumberland Beagle Club and enjoyed knitting; crocheting; crafts and needle point.
Elizabeth A. Sweetland
GRANBY, CT. - Elizabeth A. Sweetland, 93, of Granby, CT beloved wife for 44 years of the late Raymond J. Sweetland, passed away on Sunday, (June 29, 2014) in Simsbury, CT. Born in Seekonk, MA on September 30, 1920, daughter of the late David T. and Frances (Fitt) Valentine, she was raised in Pawtucket and had lived in Cheshire, CT for 41 years before moving to Granby, CT to be closer to her family eight years ago.
Mary Rosa Johnson
CENTRAL FALLS - Mary Rosa Johnson, 98, died Friday, June 27, 2014 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Armand J. Johnson for 55 years prior to his death in 1990. She was born in Central Falls, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosa (Senecal) LaVigne.
Mary worked in many local dressmaking shops as a meticulous hand-presser. She was a former member of the Central Falls Community Center, the Senior Club of Notre Dame Church and the International Ladies Garment Workers Union Local #429.
Gary S. Butler
PAWTUCKET - Gary S. Butler, 59, of Division Street, Pawtucket, entered into eternal life early Thursday morning. He was the beloved husband of the late Shelly D. (Card) Butler. He was born in Providence a son of Joan D. (Sossville) Butler-Lawrence-Napolillo of Cumberland and the late Kenneth Butler.
Gary was the office manager at Warren Tire Co. of Pawtucket for more than 30 years. He also was a US Navy veteran serving on the USS Constellation and was a motorcycle enthusiast.
Joseph A. Kotlarski
PAWTUCKET - Joseph A. Kotlarski. 67, passed away Wednesday June 18, 2014 at the St. Antoine Residence in North Smithfield were he resided for the past 18 months. He was the beloved son of the late Joseph S. and Mary A. (Avizynis) Kotlarski and the stepson of the late Germaine (Boudreau - Patenaude) Kotlarski. Prior to living in North Smithfield Joseph lived in Cumberland and Pawtucket.
Before retiring he was employed at New To You and the former Building 19 of Pawtucket. He was a member of the Blackstone Valley Chapter of RIARC.
Arthur J. Letourneau
CENTRAL FALLS - Arthur J. Letourneau, 89, of Sylvian St., passed away Thursday in the Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket. He was the beloved husband of Chang (Hui) Letourneau.
Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Leo and Adouilda (Hebert) Letourneau.
Mr. Latourneau was a U. S. Air Force veteran having served in WW II, the Korean Conflict and Viet Nam. After his extensive military career he began his employment with the General Services Administration in Denver, CO retiring in 1970.
Theresa A. Nacci
PAWTUCKET - Theresa A. (Cherry) Nacci, 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. She was the former wife of Edward A. Nacci of Providence. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late James F. and Sarah J. (McNulty) Cherry. Theresa was a waitress at Asquino's Restaurant, East Providence for many years until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling; playing cards; going to the casino; dancing and sing-a-longs.
Carol A. Carr
PAWTUCKET - Carol A. Carr 60, of Pawtucket passed away on June 23, 2014.
Carol was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Edward and Mary (Fay) Carr.
She graduated from Rhode Island College with a Bachelors Degree in Education and earned her MBA from Bryant University. Carol was a longtime employee at CVS as Manager of Inbound Transportation in the Logistics Department of the CVS Store Support Center.
Paul T. Brasileiro
CUMBERLAND - Paul T. Brasileiro, 54 of Broad Street, passed away Monday at home. He was the husband of Maria S. (Goncalves) Brasileiro.
Born in Portugal, he was the son of the late Antonio G. and Ana E. (Tibeiro) Brasileiro. He resided in Cumberland since 1971 previously residing in Portugal.
He was a machine operator at the Stern, Leach, Gardner Co., Attleboro, MA for many years.
He was a member of the Clube Juventude Lusitana, Cumberland for many years.
Ann M. Molak
PAWTUCKET - Ann M. Molak, 83, died June 23, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Edward R. Molak to whom she was married for 60 years. Ann was born in Providence, the daughter of the late Benedict Massey and Lillian (Garner) Maenza and lived most of her life in the Blackstone Valley.
Ann was a teacher in the Pawtucket School Department for 30 years retiring several years ago. She was a member of the Pawtucket Teacher's Alliance the Rhode Island Federation of Teachers and the National Home and Gardening Club.
Helen T. Spaniak
PAWTUCKET - Helen Teresa Spaniak (aka Szczepaniak) died on Friday, June 6 in Pawtucket.
She enjoyed talking with and helping family and friends and anyone who needed assistance. Music was a special passion of hers, playing the piano and singing. She loved all animals and had several French Poodles and cats and befriended many urban creatures in her neighborhood. She was also blessed with fine artistic and design skills.

PAWTUCKET - Janet E. (Pierce) Poisson, 78, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014. A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Robert H. and Elizabeth B. (Dolan) Pierce.
She leaves three sons, Norman D., Kenneth G. and Alan J. Poisson; a daughter, Darlene M. Poisson; a sister, Virginia Frenier; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Robert S. Poisson.
LINCOLN - Violet "Vi" (Lupien) McDevitt, 96, formerly of Lincoln, died Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Jeanne Jugan Residence of the Little Sisters of the Poor, Pawtucket. She was the wife of the late John "Jack" E. McDevitt. Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Florida (Bourque) Lupien.
Camilla W. Horton
PAWTUCKET - Camilla W. (White) Horton, 93, passed away at the Ballou Home on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert E. Horton. Born in Tyner, NC, a daughter of the late Timothy and Bertha White, she resided in Pawtucket most of her life.
LINCOLN - Oscar Dubois, 97, formerly of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 19, 2014. He was the beloved husband of the late Eva (Frese) Dubois. Born in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Joseph and Zelica (Aubuchon) Dubois. Oscar was a United States Army veteran of World War II and worked as a machinist at William Haskell Manufacturing for many years until his retirement in 1980. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Polish White Eagle's Club and the American Legion. Oscar enjoyed listening and dancing to Polish Polka Music.
Muriel E. MacLure
PAWTUCKET - Muriel E. MacLure, 81, of Pawtucket, died June 17, 2014. She was the wife of the late Norman E. MacLure. Mrs. MacLure was born in Central Falls. The daughter of the late Oscar and Berthe (Choinniere) Tetreault. She was employed by Providence Metalizing Co.
She is survived by five children, Norman MacLure of Providence, Charlene Russo and her husband Anthony of Pawtucket, Christopher, Raymond and Denise MacLure all of Pawtucket. Two grandchildren, Adam MacLure of Pawtucket and Ashley Cole of Marlboro, MA.
Russell R. Kaplan
PAWTUCKET - Russell R. Kaplan, 62, passed on June 17th surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Pauline Andreou and son of the late Harry and Claire (Keough) Kaplan. Russell was a longtime lumber yard attendant and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
He is survived by a son, Russell Andreou, a daughter, Rebecca Desautel, three sisters, Kathy Doucette, Florence Cantrell and Carleen Chalifoux, four grandchildren, Kelsey-Lynn and Russell Andreou, Bryana and Shyann Desautel. He was the brother of the late James Kaplan and William Kugler.
